無知一問，如果小朋友國際學校，將來想考政府工，是否比較困難？上過政府網頁睇要求，有d一頭霧水，我是上一代的人，讀A-Level，新學制+外國學制令我理解上有點困難。請賜教，謝謝！

要求：Level 2 or Level 1 in Use of Chinese in the Common Recruitment Examination, or equivalent...

Grade C and Grade D in Chinese Language in International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) / General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) / General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level)(GCE O Level) are accepted as comparable to Level 3 and Level 2 in Chinese respectively in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) / HKCEE for civil service appointments. "Attained" and "Attained with Distinction" in Applied Learning Chinese (for non-Chinese speaking students) subject is accepted as Chinese language proficiency requirements of Level 2 and Level 3 in Chinese in HKDSEE.

當然不知道他將來做什麼，只係想將來小朋友嘅路闊啲。我知道冇完美嘅學制，只是想多理解，始終不是一個小決定。謝謝！

似乎要求已很清晰，如果不明白，可以找中文版本看。

So, they won't consider IB Chinese A or B? Then the interested persons need to take the common recruitment exam? would it be difficult for a Chineses B IB student to pass the common recruitment exam?

樓主，這些語文要求到廿年後很可能已不一樣了，到時是否需要識英文我唔敢講，但中文就一定要識，仲不可以太差。現在政府的CRE (common recruitment examination) 的中文要求也不低。如果你想仔女將來可選擇在香港打政府工，就一定要佢地學好中文，咁可能本地學校適合一些。

國際學校主張creative thinking , happy learning 等等，教出來嘅學生都應該唔太適合做保守類型的工作，如香港的政府工。

政府Common Recruitment Exam中文卷其實唔係咁難，考正常閱讀理解和邏輯，一般睇到中文報章雜誌及公務文書嘅人，只要有一定應試技考，要考到level 2冇大問題，IB Chinese A更加大大超越CRE水平。

好認同讀完IS應該唔會鍾意做香港政府公務員。

(利申：外國回流，曾考CRE順利入政府但已跳船)
