昨天去清水灣小學面試
miss話仔仔全程沒出聲
隨後即收拒絕信
大家覺得韓國國際和西班牙國際怎樣？
還有沒有不熱門但是都ok的國際學校可以推薦給我謝謝

將軍澳同西貢都有幾間國際學校，有d新開可能仲有位可以試下。

Personally, I like KIS. Their facilities are good. Small class size which is very important for me. The teachers I'd talked to were very nice. The principal is an experienced educator. For those parents who are very concerned about chinese level, KIS has a local level chinese class and teach in traditional chinese in Mandarin.

KIS is not a famous IS but undoubtedly it is a good school.

西灣河的KIS, 佐敦的Mount Kelly 都係UK curriculum。

有無傾向邊區? 那個curriculum? 還是只想找有位的學校?

咁試下shrewbury，都係將軍澳。其實kis唔差的，識幾個用家都話學校好好，老師好caring。

Agree, my son now is studying at KIS. He love the school so much. And I love the teacher, they always taking picture for student and send parent to know how kids at school

我建議你從現在開始大力訓練小朋友應付此類小組面試，我仔雖沒有考你心儀的學校，但他在10月份也fail了一次面試，估計也是因害怕在陌生環境說話所以沒有說。我帶他參加話劇班，每星期和其他小朋友一起玩，舉辦聖誕派對等，讓他習慣和其他小朋友互動。前兩天剛完成了兩個面試，看到他的表現有進步，比10月份時有自信。希望你仔會考到心儀學校！

是的，競爭都大，希望去到面試。
今個星期才收到另外2間面試通知，都在同一日面試，但已計劃好去玩，去不了interview，有點可惜

我早前都有幫仔仔報話劇班但是效果不大可能是因為我和先生工作忙很少帶他去和其他小朋友互動缺少交流機會所以導致他在公開場合不太敢表露自己

try French international school TKO. but you have to train your kid to talk at least express his feeling.

Yes, I think Shrewsbury is about 200k per year.
They have 6 class per grade so it means for year 1, they have over 120+ students.

I prefer small school for little kids.

You can also try island Christian school at Sai Ying Pun area, Nord Anglia at Lam tin, Hong Kong Academy in Sai Kung.

Shrewsbury’s 200k has been lifted, so now you can go for annual levy.

Maybe try Stamford? I heard they almost accept everyone

Shrewsbury school fee is about 160k + 40k annual levy, the total fee is 200k+ per year.

學費是每月10,500 x 10月，levy 每年12,000。月頭得悉 kis下星期面試，應該都會放棄唔去in了。

我仔in的其中一間就是Stamford. 相信佢interview 又係無講嘢，result 出時話要俾EAL support (但我仔係讀全英語幼稚園㗎！），要俾debenture, 仲要waiting. Stamford不是人人收㗎，俾debenture另計～

debenture is refundable , I think it is better than capital levy?

That’s so expensive, many traditional IS need to pay debentures too but they are totally refundable when you leave the school.

Thank you. Paying debenture means get the admission priority for local passport holders and get into another fast queue in waiting pool as well? If not pay, that means no chance at all?

Normally the debenture gives you fast track admissions. In my son’s case, it was for EAL support.

As parent, what do you like about KIS?
People have a misconception that it's "Korean" so it seems more Asian than a school with a more western name.  In fact, it's a hidden gem.

I like the school because I talked to the principal and think he is very passionate about education.  He is not a salesman.  the teachers are nice.  I also think an international should have good facilities such as swimming pool, open space and canteen.  otherwise, it can't provide a full spectrum of development for the kids.

It's just my preference.  there are a lot of good IS such as ICA but some of their campus are just too small.
Why do I have to hurry myself to make a decision? I need to find one that best fit my kid's personality and support her development.  My kid is very outgoing and likes to do all kinds of sports.  So I think a bigger campus is important.

I like Hong Lok Yuen IS but it's too far for me.
