Which international school do you have in mind? Actually most international schools don't have K3. Their primary school starts at the age of 5. If your son is currently K2, you have to be quick in submitting year 1 applications and hope there will be interviews for you before the start of 19/20 academic year. My humble advice is, pick a few schools that you may be interested in (e.g. in the area you live), go to their websites and read about their curriculum and fees. International schools have very open policies and you will learn a lot by surfing through their websites. Also, do you hold foreign passports? If you hold local passport only, then applying international schools for junior years may not be easy.

例如英基2019/20學年Year 1 (等同本地K3), 只可在2018年9月報名，你要每間學校問

I would advise you to change to International School as early as possible
Getting a place of Year 1 would be more difficult than K1 or K2

thanks, But then my son will be only 5 y by the end of november I don't think its the time for him to goes to G1 yet.

he's only 5 y by end of November this year. they required at least 5y8m for 2019/20 application

yes we hold a foreign passport. I have went thru some of the website they required at least 5y8m for G1/Y1. my son is going to be 5 end of November this year. correct me if I'm wrong.

Different schools have different cut off date. Esf cut off by year, while the majority cut off by 31 aug.

ESF website said "born in 2014"

Many schools start with reception which is 4 years old, and the British schools start year 1 at the age of 5 (minimum 4y8m). If your desired school starts from grade 1 at 5y8m, while your son is born in November 2014, you have to wait for the application for the 2020/21 academic year. but you may want to look for backups and many of the schools are actually doing interviews / giving offers to students born in 2014 for the coming academic year.
