好緊張入黎大家update 情況下：

我個女讀Boxhill kindergarten TKO, 23號去左CWB interview 但初初係waiting list ，好緊張希望入到

我上年都經歷過, 都係CWB, 好明白這些日子好忐忑不安.
由九月已經開始緊張, 執定文件, 等十月一到就上網報, 等收確認信, 等收面試信(又驚冇得見, 又驚有得見都係reserved list). 好啦, 有得見又驚小朋友表現失準, 或自己見得唔好累了小朋友, 真是寢食難安. 睇番轉頭, 又覺得時間過得很快, 這些不安的日子好似冇幾耐之前發生咁.
現在距離放榜還有兩個多星期, 見到岸了, 好快到, 預祝各位成功入到!

Cwb小學係我心水，不過我地仲未都考！而家讀緊其他國際幼稚園，想問收校外生多嗎？可以比多啲意見參考下嗎？

唔好意思, 未能解答此問題, 因為:

1. CWB 都是我心水之一, 學校非常近家, 我小朋友是ESF Kinder, 不是校外.
2. 我小朋友並沒有幸入到CWB, 現不是此校學生
3. 本來以為CWB比另一間我更想入的那間較少兢爭, 殊不知收到CWB壞消息之後就收到另一家我更心水但較冇信心小朋友會考到的學校既好消息.

Not ESF Abacus, but TC
Yes, RC now (by luck I guess)
- CWB: 254 applicants, 150 interviewees vs 120 places
- RC: +800 applicants, 600 interviewees vs 160 places

I heard that CWB takes 90% of Abacus kids. That might explain why it's more difficult for kids outside Abacus to get in.

Anyway, RC is a good school. Congratulations!

Do you mind sharing how was the parent interview? Is it just a casual chat and self introduction or more formal questions were asked? Thanks!

Yes, causal chat, introduce your children, what your children like to do , why choose ESF , what is the first language of your children...etc

Don’t worry , all parents can handle

We went to the assessment today. My son is quite happy. The teachers are extremely nice. Just that I think competition is intense this year. In my group there are a few siblings. Results will be out on Feb 14.

Was told by the principal in the information session that this year is not as competitive as last year ...

Siblings - you mean that they have sisters/ brothers studying in ESF as well ?

Yes, I know two kids in my group have older brothers / sisters studying at CWBS.

Thanks for your info! It was our first visit to the school. Feels like a really good one.

Hi Lucent yes we are on the reserve list. We are now studying in Deborah

Thanks! Oh I mean which esf school did you visit today. I just saw you mentioned in earlier post that you had interview in cwbs. Wish you luck! I'm just wondering how the schools determine who gets to reserved list with interview and who doesn't have interview.

Would you please shed some light on ethnicity of students in lower primary? Are Chinese majority?
Understand that there were many Caucasian before when Cat 1/Cat 2 criteria applied. But how is it in the recent years when most admitted children are from Acabus?

You can go to esf abacus website, there are some school event videos. The school environment is super nice ( with a rather big open area playground ). Besides, you can see diverse ethnicities in this school. As abacus is the feeder school of cwb , so I believe there is s high proportion of foreigners.

Per CWB principal that, there’s ~30% Y1 students come from Abacas. But still, ESF Kinder has higher advantage to get into the Y1 admission interview.

Not sure about the past years but this year a number of Abacus students left after K1 to join other schools. In terms of ethnicity mix, I can assure you it’s more diverse than other Kowloon/NT side ESF kindy but the number of Caucasians is not that high. In the AM classes, there is around 1/3 of Caucasian students and only less than 5 in the PM classes.
