RC is a through-train school from Primary to Secondary while ESF foundation schools are not.

ESF foundation schools are through schools from primary to secondary! Except that the secondary school might not be at the same site of the primary campus.

“All Year 6 students enrolled in an ESF primary school by 1 December 2017 are guaranteed a place in an ESF secondary school on completion of Year 6, with the following provisos...”

Tho keep in mind that RC is a through IB school, but ESF foundations schools are not, yet.

ESF foundation school kids will move up to ESF secondary schools, but this is not considered as through-train as kids will not stay in the same campus when they move up to secondary school, but RC kids will.

RC teaches traditional Chinese.
ESF CWBS teaches simplified Chinese.
CWBS will have 'less' local HK kids than RC.

RC teaches in both traditional and simplified Chinese. It depends on which pathway your child is placed in after observation (observation goes on for around 3 months after they start school at the college) . Pathway 2 and 3 are in traditional Chinese, Pathway 1 is simplified.
