Hi, are there any parents get 2nd interview or parents interview notification after the first interview in December 2017? Or anyone of you get notified any updates from CDNIS?

Which grade are you applying? I was told that result shall be released end of January or early February 2018 for reception grade.

The school said that there are no parent interviews this year for pre-reception. Results will be released end Jan / early Feb.

Part 1: Both parents could stay with kids, all kids were playing in the library, play and relax, no assessor doing assessment there

Part 2: Both parents could stay with kids, 3-4 groups of children were playing in the outdoor playground, each of the kid was provided with a name tag, the assessors would look for the kids they needed to do assessment, observed and comment the kids nearby, assessors had no interaction and conversations with kids.

Part 3: Only 1 parent could stay with kids, all kids went into the classrooms to do assessment, they were divided in a group of 4. The kids were free to play in the classroom, the assessors talked to the kids, eg. What is your name? What are you playing? What are you going to draw, clean up time, etc. Then they had circle time, the assessor would tell a story and ask the children simple questions about the story.

The interview was stress-free, all kids playing happily during interview. And one good and thoughtful action of CDNIS was, if the kid didn’t like to talk to one assessor, another assessor would take place, that’s what made me think CDNIS is very good...

Last year we received results by mail.

It’s AM class. My kid did alright I guess, played with the toys, interacted with the teachers, answered questions. It was pretty relaxed though so hard to say how well he did.

I asked the admission office last year, they have acceptance, waiting pool and reject letter. If you on waiting list, they ranked the applicant but they will not tell you where your kid are. If anyone release the place (not accept to the offer), they will call according to the waiting pool. But if you get the call, basically, they need you to reply on the same day whether you will accept the offer or not.

Is it fair to say the earlier you receive the letter of waiting, the sooner you will get called? Will the school send out the letters according to their internal ranking of the candidates? Thanks!

For those on waitlist, if have vacancy, admission office will call you via phone. They literally want you to answer whether you will take the offer right away. Within the same day.

Based on their age requirement on their admission website it seems that Oct baby can only be big kid now in Cdnis.They have changed the birthday cut off few years ago.
