It is a complicated question.
Have u read Esf website for the admission priority list? Did u aware the catchment zone concept?

There are 1020 places for year1 in 2018. And there are around 800 k2 graduates from Esf kinder (correct me if anyone knew the actual number) . We have no idea how many applicants with higher priority than Esf kinders , e.g. alumni, siblings ......

And most important, the catchment zone restriction. There are 5 primary schools in Hk island however, those living in kln and NT are not allowed to apply these schools.

So, the answer to your question is yes and no

As far as I remember, there is only 1 ESF KG on the island side (hillside)? So does it mean that graduates from hillside have a good chance to get into ESF primary sch on the island side?

And I assume the figures you mentioned are referring to the total no. of seats for all ESF sch including hk, kln & NT?
