Any idea of whether they would consider children born in 2015 but after the cut off date (31 Aug) for Reception One in 2018?

Wait for the next academic year. Ics prefers 'big kids'. Even they accept ur application, chance is smaller for 'small kids '

Do you mean your kid was born 1st Sept 2015 or after? Then he/she is for R1 2019-20

2017/18 R2 - born on 1/9/2012 or later
2017/18 R1 - born on 1/9/2013 or later
2018/19 R1 - born on 1/9/2014 or later

ICS 對年齡要求好嚴，特別是低年班，過左 cut off date 一定要讀下一年。
