Hello! Does anyone know how did they do the online assessment, and what kind of questions/concerns they have when meeting parent during the interview?

I think every applicant for year 3 onward needs to complete assessment, same as mentioned in their website. When did you apply?

因為你之前話
"有人話小學中學未有牌，不可偷步收生，所以全部收信都系waiting list,我囡同幾個朋友全部interview pass左但waiting list,但樓上又話有人收左year1"

所以我就回你兩種信都有。

正式offer 的信同waitlist 信都有人收到。我兩種信都見過，我自己小孩都有申請同收到offer信，係七月中收到，七月尾到八月都有人收到waitlist 嗰封。

Just attended its information session recently and the impression is quite good. Prospective parents seem to be coming from professional backgrounds and the school management team looks strong.

Does anyone have further insights of the school,?

No, they did not send me anything, I just keep chasing regularly.

May I know did they mention how long you will get the result after your interview since May?

Do you hold any foreign passport? And will you accept the offer?

They refuse to give a timeline. Originally they said results were out by end of Jul. I didn't receive reject letter, so I chase them, then they said they are still assessing, not till now do they confirm. I guess we are at waiting list, as they have set the Jul timeline for results release before.

My son has a foreign passport, and we will take the offer likely.

My son get offer from American Hong Kong(tai po). But I want to wait for Malvern’s result and still have 2 interviews later.

When the letter say "I am able to offer a place for academic year 2018-2019", this means that your kids are not in the waiting list. The superstructure of the school has been completed, so the licence form EDB shouldn't be a problem.

wanna know why you all would chose malvern college ? it is new school. I am not quite sure about the standard and quality. but I am interested in their concept of forest school.

我個group 有一個蘇聯來的小妹妹，另外4個都係香港人。不過我都見到有d內地的小朋友等interview.

我in 時又無乜內地人，眼見只有一個，有見一個鬼，一個韓國人，其他大部份都係香港人。其實內地人多都唔係問題。

係絕對唔係歧視內地人個日去in 啲家長都ok 有禮貌既不過我揀is其中一個原因都係想小朋友多啲机會接觸唔同人同文化如果一面到中國人就好似無咁好你小朋友依家有無上開佢既playgroup?

I’m not familiar with this school. Can anyone share their views whether this school is children centric and how’s the standard of the teachers? Any reference from their sister schools regarding academic achievement ?

As they are in process of teacher recruitment very hard to give any comment on teachers. But just looking at the IB results in their UK school, over the last few years, it average around 37 points higher than RC and ESF Shatin which is around 36. But since it is a new college it may take a few year before they reach the same standard as UK.

Just wonder why for those who live in Aberdeen / pok fu lam will choose Malvern. Its very far away.

Have bus route all over Hkg, pretty nice!But pick up time in Yuen Long is earlier than Pok Fu Lam!
