My son will have the interview on 27th, any parents can share their experiences?
Will they interview the kid or just let them free play?

quite casual, 5 groups of kid+parents in a room. kids are allowed to play freely with various toys while a staff might randomly chat with kids or parents.

in the same room the parents would be interviewed pair by pair. just simple open-ended questions like why you would choose malvern, ur views on play-based learning and forest school etc.

the offers will be given right after the interview and EVERYONE gets an offer. and u gotta pay up front.

i paid the reg fee. i prefer full day myself.

but i heard am classes are full already, one can only be put on the waiting list.

Hi Pinkmania, I also got PN offer full day. May I know Your kid is holding non-Hong Kong passport?

How long is the interview session? Will it be completed within 2 hours?

It can be done within 1 hr including registration.

I had the observation session (interview) on 27th Nov, but no offer are given straight after the session. They said, result maybe available in December. finger cross....

though to be honest, my daughter wasn't particularly outstanding on that day > <

I didn't notice parents paying deposits after the session. Maybe Malv had secured certain number of student already and is now more selective on their future students.

I originally applied for am class, but the school said that its full n asked if i would attend the observation session for pm class. of coz i still took this opportunity.

mine is 1pm.

Yes, I also want to apply am but they told me it is full and ask me to apply full day.

My friend attended briefing session this week, what I heard now a few children after interview are placed at waiting list, they will be offered if any others parents withdraw the offer.
Do you know your result? You may call admission office to ask.

Some of my friend said my boy is under Wait list, might caused by he is small b ( born in July 2014)

Orignially my daughter is on waiting list for pm class.

I then wrote them a letter saying that I understand that Malv has full day class and I would definately take it if there r places/offer.

then, they offer me a place for full day class.

Mayb u cud give it a go too.

May I know if there is any capital enrolment fee (non refundable) need to pay? Just deposit is ok?

I m not sure, coz their kinder campus is still under renovation and this is their first year in hk (commence at 2017), therefore i donno if they wud have K2 (there isnt their own K1 student successing to K2).

U should ask them, they r pretty responsive.

I think they have very limited seats available now as their recent interview (after CNY) was held in their office instead. My friend's kid applied for their PN very late n was invited for interview after CNY in their office. School sent out the result the next day but she got waiting only. You can call/email the admissions who are very responsive.

School facilities is good with many open area playing. But it's very inconvenient school not providing any snacks / food. Need parents to bring lunch / snacks to their children. Do you have any offer?
