I've just got an email from AISHK regarding the enrolment update for 2017 reception. I wonder does it mean AISHK will ask my son to attend the first batch of interview? Anyone could share? TIA

Yes, usually after updating the information, you will receive an email telling you the date and time for interview.

If u target next year entry, it means this year interview, so u need to apply in last yr

My son holds OZ passport so has priorities and he goes to an international kindi, only English & Mandarin. We submitted the form the first day or two in Jan last year.

My girl holds OZ passport and go to IS kindy, but we lodged reception application in Mar last Year, need to go through interview later this Month. Hope she will succeed

Any knows if AIS has mandarin for recept years? I got an interview notification but wondering go or not. Given need to go for bridging school for 5 months and hesitate to move her after she settles in. She will go for ESF kindie for k1 in sept.

Thanks- decided to not go for interview. We live on HK side so KLT is too far. Also the 5 months bridging is easier for her to settle in a school staring in sept.

Anyone knows if AISHK is a though-train school? Since getting into reception, there will be no more interview for primary and secondary?

what do they do in class?
how about the teacher to students ratio?

I heard there is school tour every Wednesday morning, but I didn't join, u better check with the school

Local hk family, passport holder, my son is studying in IS kindy, my son speaks both Cantonese and English. Don't know about interview format as we didn't go into the interview room only the kids did. Good luck!

And one more tips, apply on the 1st Jan! You can hand ur application to the security guard.

Does your kid speak fluent English? My son currently cannot speak full English sentences, only words. He speaks Cantonese mostly.
I applied on 1 Jan hand in personally. Thanks.

The update form has asked you to tick your preference of AM/PM session, but you may not be able to get what you want if the session is oversubscribed

Is there any chance for those who are not Australian passport holders?

We do not have citizenship but I have a professional qualification from Australia, so I can apply for working permit at anytime.

Will that help in the admission?

Also, if I apply in March (2 years advance of enrollment), will I be able to get a seat?

I think Aishk = Australian international school, which starts application from Jan, and you are talking about American international school , right ?
