請問現在考RC難入嗎？聽說800人考只收150個，waiting list一大堆，請問大家對RC有咩評價？

好難界定難唔難考！我個女BHS同RC都有interview，RC第一輪已經收咗，但BHS rejected 咗！所以我都唔係幾明佢哋兩間學校收生嘅標準咁唔同

我個女也是rc同一間esf都有offer，佢班同學仔大部分也是兩個offer在手，但之後就揀咗esf放rc，主要考慮是之後可以直升esf中學。不過rc都是間非常好的學校，同時鬼佬亦非常之多。

Rc 由year 1-13, 是直升吧。

其實RC和BHS兩間都係好學校，所以好難取捨，RC教繁體字而且同一校舍一條龍上中學，學校設施又大又新，BHS就少班可能老師會較為關注得到所有學生，地點就腳在九龍塘市區，但我聽說RC的課程和功課會比BHS為多些，但好似大部分esf kinder的學生都會喜歡選擇返foundation school 多於PIS school

我自己本身傾向鍾意RC多啲！
唔係因為佢收咗我個女，而係我比較鍾意繁體字教學，學校設施完善，中小學一齊

一次答幾個問題：
1）面試只用英語對答
2）小學部一星期有五節中文堂，但多數安排在四天上，其中一天是double lesson
3）按開學時的分班assessment分班：Chinese as foreign language 學簡體、Chinese as native language 學繁體
4）CNL用朗文為啟新編輯的課文
啟新的中文無傳說咁利害，但又不至太差；家長自己䛊中文就最好自己留意一下中文學習，小學時假手於補習，是無補於事。

請問家長一般需要在家跟進小朋友的學習課程和功課嗎？或是他們已在學校內完成？

看家長的要求吧！全部職媽媽一般睇得較緊，不過小學生在課堂已完成大部分學習，初小階段功課不多、高小階段慢慢在HW上有增加。

但小孩仍是快樂學習、無exam block, 不過有不通知家長的持續評估（幾好㗎）。

孩子背後會比較誰的mami是tiger mom, 但老實說，小學時成績好的多靠自己和家庭，不補習。

Good, 我都認為小朋友應該從小靠自己去學習，不要倚靠家長，我相信學校應該會培訓得到小朋友的自理學習能力，如果成日放學要去補習班又要在家不停練習，咁就不如讀傳統local school, 這不是International school的形式

agree, and many locals have dual citizenship which makes the 70% is not really 70%

成日話多人申請就難考，但考學校並非計 probability 喎。例如，得 100 個位，500 人考，唔代表 500 個都均等機會。例如唔識講英文，根本唔會收。以國際學校計，其實我估有高至四份一人係未夠料就去考，（例如英文唔掂）。所以，唔好比申請人數嚇親。

This is true if the school interview all applicants, but in reality they don't have the time or resources to do that, so out of 800 applicants they might interview around 500, and how they choose the 500 out of 800 is where probability (i.e. luck) comes in. The way they do it is by assigning a random number to every application and then prioritize by that number, and if there are 2000 applicants instead of 800, then obviously the chances of being "chosen" for interview is spread thinner.

So what is the present arrangements at different ESF schools?
Who decides how many students they interview each year?
I think a couple of years back someone said one school did interview everyone.

For RC the present arrangement is the same as in previous years, i.e. assign a random number to each applicant, and if a child has no priority (sibling, alumni, ESF kindergarten etc) and is unlucky enough to get a bad number then he/she may not be invited to an interview.

In previous years I believe RC interviewed everyone who had priority, but I'm not so sure about those without. I wouldn't know exactly how many applicants they would interview each year either, but obviously there is a practical limit on the number. Having said that, the 2 ESF PIS (RC and DC) do interview more applicants compared to the ESF foundation schools, so the element of luck is relatively smaller.

雖然係選部分人 in，但隔離有個 topic 話，其實真係一直再叫 waiting list 去 in，畢竟可能有第一 round 的 fail interview，亦有 D 人可能有幾間 offer 。
間間都多人申請，但會唔會係同一批人？
話就話 800 個人申請 150 個位，但真係計，可能係 800 個人，申請 4 間共 500-600 個位，到最後，情形未必係咁差。

係呀！同埋RC 係好肯同家長溝通，好似教繁體字，最初佢地都係教簡體架，後來大部份家長都反影學繁體既好處，於是佢地後來改教繁體！
