I think normally they can get in p1 automatically unless they think you are below their standards.

They will send out letter saying that it's accepted, rejected or waiting list. If rejected you can call them to find out the reason.

Did they give a reason for rejection?
Btw my friend got letter stating he passed the assessment but no vacancy yet. He is an alumni. Don't know if the chance is high. I think they have completed recruitment ?

After receiving the letter, you can call the admission office and ask for assessment comment. Just to share, my son passed K1 assessment but no offer at the end due to no vacancy (we have no priorities). We were invited for K2 assessment free of charge but my son didn't pass. We tried the last time for Y1 this Jan and still got rejected. For Y1 entry, GSIS is really looking for native speaking kids (English as 1st language) with no grammatical errors in their spoken English.

Thanks, my friend's situation is a bit like yours, got a pass but no vacancy for k1 and still waiting. It seems he needs to get prepared to go to other school first.

They emphasized that all the time they are looking for native English speakers even at k1.

You see, there's a gap between PASS and EXCELLENT.

Is a regular practice to have people on wait list. I think every school have a wait list of its own, school can call the student on wait list immediately right after there is withdrawal. Moreover, there is always decline of offer which is another reason to have wait list.

That means the assessment test has different grades and only the top graded "Excellent" has the chance to get an offer,, then.

.. the formula = Excellent in assessment test + good English speaking.
Knowing that the waiting list is quite long and it will be longer and longer after each assessment tests. May I ask any mami in waiting list but got the offer afterwards?

My sis' comment to GSIS is: it's just like another SPCoed but an int'l school.
Her daughter is studying at GSIS.
