標題: is waiting list on ESF kinder can apply next year again? [打印本頁]

We got put on waiting list on applying 2015 K1, may I know can we apply 2016 K1 again next year (as we are small months baby), or apply to k2 next year or can only apply ESF Primary later? As their website stated the year level for each year kids. Pls advice thank you!
And anyone know why ESF even don't give all 230 applicants a fair interview? Is there any hidden factor for getting an interview?

It's said they have a computer system called MAZE, which generates a random number for every applicant.
Then there are several queues for different priority levels, such as teacher's kids, siblings of current ESF students, and so on..Of course, the queue with lowest priority is the one who doesn't have any connection..
Then you're put in corresponding queue according to your random number..
The interviews go to the one in the highest queue first, and so on..

I guess they don't actually run a selective interview, that's why they call it 'play visit'..

Did you receive the letter or email from ESF? I called ESF Tsing Yi last week and the staff told me that they will send out the letter for play session around mid of Dec and the play session will be held on mid of Jan.

my son applied ESF k1 2015. we just received a letter yesterday and the play visit will be held on 1 Dec

I also applied 2015 K1 for my son but still haven't heard of anything. Maybe because we have no connections and we are put to the lowest priority queue...

Tsing Yi. How to check if the application status is on waiting list? We don't have any priority too, just a foreign passport if it does help.

We applied tsing yi campus where my son is having playgroup there every Sat. But so far, we received no news at all...

If you have foreign passport, you will have the priority.

Hi,...... if not everyone can have chance for interview..... does it mean that chance is high if kids got a chance to attend schoolplay ? anyone has idea ?

I want to know too. My son can only speak a few English words, but understand most of the English instruction. Will ESF give out "waiting" or "reject" letters easily after the play visit.

My son too. He can only speak single words as he is a young baby. Fingers crossed.
