How to distinguish "guarantee place "or "reserve list "if It didn't state on the email?

I'm not sure while it is a guarantee placement or not, but the interview will be held in early Jan, together with their classmates.

If the letter didn't mention the word "Reserve", so it must be guarantee seat.
Welcome to SJS family, just relax 99% of kids can pass the interview.

This is a guarantee seat letter from last year

Further to your application for a place for your child in Year One at our school, we are pleased to invite you to bring himfor an interview. Details are:

Interview Date & Time: Thursday 16 January 2014, 9am
Venue: Sha Tin Junior School, 3A Lai Wo Lane, Fo Tan

The purpose of the interview is to assess your child’s level of receptive and expressive English to ensure that Sha Tin Junior School is an appropriate one for him. The interview will take place in an informal ‘play’ situation, usually with a small group of children of the same age. It will be conducted by experienced members of our teaching staff and the whole process should take no longer than one hour.

As part of the process includes an interview with parents, it is a requirement that at least one parent is in attendance. Wherever possible we encourage the attendance of both parents.

Interviews are being conducted throughout January, and we will inform you of the interview result by letter in the second week of February. If your child is successful, the letter you receive will request a deposit payment and a Refundable Capital Levy payment, both of which will be required by Monday 24th February 2014 to secure the place.

My kid is studying in SJS year1 now and he was studying from ESF kinder before.He is not holding any overseas passport as well

We are not studying at esf kinder or holding foreign passport but we are using INR

This year almost every kids from my kid's school(esf kinder) got the guaranteed interview offer from an ESF primary, except those who joined kinder from K2.

Ruth0329, which esf school you are applying for? Is your kid an esf kinder?
I haven't received any interview invitation at all. My kid is not an esf kinder and we have no INR.

You are very lucky indeed. I know some ESF kids are on reserve list as well !!

Yes WKS also. Oh you heard of that? I just learnd from our class group that almost everyone got that guaranteed interview offer. There must be some get the reserved list offer, but not the majority indeed. Our school principal has said that last year, the ones who got the reserved list offer or waiting list offer in the beginning have already studied in SJS. Hope is just ahead.

That is really the case...remember to apply at least 3 primary schools(including 1ESF and1PIS).

We will apply AIS (Aussie one) as well, in case we are in a waiting list in both ESF and PIS, still have one more chance (my child is holding Aussie passport).
