No. Ls primary students can stil go to is for secondary. It just might be harder

Usually more seats are available at Y7 (i.e., P.6 of LS).

Entrance exam may consist of English n Maths. That will be really difficult if the kid has Chinese Maths in LS.

English is very difficult in IS.

謝謝，我好心煩，因為唔係有錢人，如果由幼稚園去到中學都讀is ,實在太貴

不過老公係外國讀書回來，一定要個囝接受is 教育，覺得香港本地教育太混亂同死板

Totally agree with your husband.
However, some English schools such as ESF, ICS, CAIS are not as expensive. You may consider those.

I recommend American International School too. They do not have debenture so costs are lower. I know some of their students are transferred from local English schools as their English admissions tests are US standardized level.

The core training in thinking skill and creativity starts from primary. If you switch to IS in secondary, you lose a lot of valuable training, as IS secondary starts to be more exam oriented.

多謝你話我知，又好似係喎，如果理想當然一上中學就適應到，但如果要一段時間咁都會影自信同學習興趣，但6年小學學費都幾貴

You needn't worry too much about the adjustment process.
If your child gets into a top LS primary and does well there, he / she will have no problem adjusting to IS secondary. We see many LS kids going abroad at Year 7 or Year 9 and they all do extremely well. IS secondary shouldn't be half as difficult to adjust to compared with boarding schools in another country!
Of course you'll have to pay more attention to their English during primary school years but it is by no means an unbridgable gap.
The problem with Chinese Maths in LS primary is that the kids may not understand the questions fully when switched to IS. Once their English is up to par, they will have no problem at all.

If your child is still small, you have to send him/her to IS asap. The main point is to avoid chances that your kid's enthusiasm in the pursuit of knowledge would be destroyed by the LS system.
