Is there anyone who got invited for the CDNIS Pre reception interview? Does the school only invite Canadian passport holder for the interview?

We got an email last week to ask us to pay for the assessment fee. After we paid, they sent us another email saying that they will get back to us early in 2014 to schedule an interview.

We applied just 1 day before the application deadline and got the email on 21/11 regarding the payment of the assessment fee. FYI, we are Canadian.

Just wonder how many students will the school interview for Pre Reception?

The chances of getting in at Pre Reception is very very slim. The principal said they don't even have enough PR spots for siblings and children of employees. Thus, only siblings get priority at the PR level.

when did u apply?? coz their website suggested applying in oct (a year before the intended year of entry)... i am wondering if it will do me any good if i apply early.... any suggestions? thx!

It sounds scary!! Wonder how many students will they interview? I don't know if apply early will have any priority but it didn't mention the date of application will have any advantage on their admission priority list

Yes, the chance of getting a spot at Reception is higher than Pre-R as they have 80 additional spots opening up at Reception level. Once they get to Prep there's only an additional 5 spots, so Reception (K2) is the mass intake for CDNIS.

Applying early gives no priority. For non-Canadians the school is giving out less and less assessment because their spots are not even sufficient to fulfill the priority holders who passed. However, this year i did know a case where the mom applied early, with no Cdn passport (but another overseas passport), initially not granted an assessment but fought for one since she applied before this new policy was set, finally got an assessment and eventually got an offer too! (the child did exceedingly well on the interview) So i guess never say never...
