My ideal commute time for my kid is 30 mins on school bus. Can anyone give me some suggestions where we shall live?

30 mins actually gives you plenty of choices. I think you can get to most places on HK island within 30 mins. Some of the more popular areas are Bel-Air, Pok Fu Lam, Sai Wan, South side, Happy Valley, Tai Hang Road.

No kidding, rent two rooms or a suite from the hotel. one minute walk. Net cost is similar to leasing a flat of 1500-2000 sf gross nearby.
