請問有冇人知上學同放學的交通情況, 會否好擠塞? 因為進出都要先登記, 而入面d路都好窄小 ... 現在諗緊校車接送定自行接送好 ...

另外有冇人知第一個學期學費及capital levy係幾時交? 仲有係已俾了deposit同debenture, 不過學校只寄了收據, 冇其他資料, 唔知幾時會收到其他入學資料呢?

除了學校網頁list出來的收費, 仲有冇其他雜費呢? (校服以外)

上學同放學時，學校門口係唔比泊車，因為要留番d位停校巴。無論你將來自行接送定搭校車，當你小朋友入讀後均可到接待處填表，由學校代你向管理處申請＂學童接載証＂，並放在車頭當眼處，在上下課時入屋苑可由住戶通道入，只需取票，無需登記。但管理處通常要成兩個月先出到張証。。。

學費同 capital levy 會在開學後用電郵發單收取。通常6月中學校會出新學期資料（係學校綱頁及電郵）

基本上無任何雜費，但如果有outing 就會另外收費。其實學費包同唔包咩係學校網有有詳細例出，你可以睇下

冇考試,但每個 unit of enquiry 完成後會有評估，學期終時會有一份報告包含班主任，中文老師，音樂老師及體育老就小朋友表現的觀察結果。

中文教繁體，每日有一堂，用本地小學課本，但用低一年級的課本。中文程度如何，其實非常視乎家長如何跟進。

Nursery ~~ 約24 個小朋友一班

收生標準：基本上要求小朋友及其父／母能以英語溝通。但有少量學額留比唔識英語的學生（例如：歐洲），收生與否會同時考慮該年級的男女生比例以及種族比例等。

我覺得HLYIS的收生係好有彈性, 好睇個別家庭情況, 我好滿意佢地的interview, 感覺佢地真係有了解清楚每個家庭同小朋友的情況做決定, 而不是好機械式的group accessment, 只看小朋友臨場表現 ...

基本上學校係預左幼稚園學生會直上小學，所以課程上銜接唔會有太大問題。

講真, 小朋友年紀小, 都唔係好明咩叫面試, 對陌生環境有猶疑都好正常, 所以真係好講面試者點誘導小朋友, 我囡去另一間面試, 就一大班小朋友跟住個樣子頗嚴肅的老師入課室, 氣氛極之緊張, 有d似我以前第一份工去果d accessment day, 唔係個個小朋友受得了! 就算我等我囡都等到好緊張, 學校又冇安排地方比家長等, 咁d家長就散播係操場行行企企, 因為當時我拿住電話玩, 有個office 職員見到就問我係咪影相, 我已話唔係, 佢仲要繼續責備式咁話唔影得相, 因為d家長唔鍾意云云(但我都講咗唔係影相, 點解要教訓我?), 感覺真的不太好!

至於HLY, 老師校長們真係笑容滿面同小朋友講嘢, 又會問我囡囡同我分開會唔會喊, 之後老師就同我囡講同佢去周圍玩(好似去冒險樂園咁), 攪到我囡不知幾興奮, 佢地出咗去好耐, 事後老師同校長講因為我囡玩到唔捨得走, 所以就同佢玩耐d而去長咗時間 ... 所以我真係覺得HLY的師長好了解兒童心理同好有愛心!

我唔知有冇同佢去nusery果邊, 因為學校係想access佢應該入reception or grade 1, 我自己冇參觀過校舍, 因為預約參觀當天, 阿囡病咗, 所以老公一個人去, 我只去了另一天的interview ... 小朋友唔捨得走一回事, 不過又難得老師肯陪佢玩耐d, 所以覺得佢地好有耐心, 我都好興幸佢地收咗我個女, HLY係我地first choice, 之前早d見的另外2間一間waiting list (2nd choice), 一間reject了(last choice), 因由表面睇HLY係優勝d, 所以都怕HLY會唔收, 好彩面試後的一天學校就email同打來話收阿女, 真係好開心!

環境一流, 設施好之餘有冇商業味, 係學習的好地方

I think they don't have a set application period, they take in application all year round, given that there are availabilities at the time, the best way is to call the school first to ask for a tour.

Have you heard from them yet? Have you done the interview? I think if you really like the school, it is best to express your feeling by a follow-up email/letter to the school principal. I think they like parents who care about the school, and application form alone does not show your personal feeling so you need to let them know by volunteering this information, I think that would let you stand out a little bit.

I have done the tour and met the principal. After talking to her, I liked the school even more. Since my baby is for 2014/15 admission, they said the interview for baby will be early next year. I plan to apply for their playgroup this summer. Would that help?

I think it will help, but still have to get admitted to the playgroup first, and I don't know how popular is their playgroup, so apply as soon as possible to increase your chance, good luck!

It helps but I think there is no school bus arrangement for the playgroup kids.

我都聽聞好多校車都好串, 我上年都打過幾間問, 有d態度真係好差, 唔憂做 .... 我表妹由西貢坐校車去九龍堂, 試過一次佢訓著咗冇落到車, 竟然冇人理佢, 之後唔知車咗佢去邊 ...

我打電話都是d老細接啦, 司機同ee就未接觸過, 因為最後都冇school bus做我家同現時學校的路線.不過睇HLYIS的website, 見到有我家的路線, 又心思思想俾阿囡坐, 因佢之前都好想坐 ...
價錢亂定? 是否經常加價同改路線?

唔係亂加錢同改路線，唉，一言難盡…如果你係ftm，自己送，女女開心好多架，而且 reception 家長可參與的機會很多，可能仲方便。
但如真的想坐校巴，不妨暑假再聯絡校巴公司啦，佢地可能又接架！

Normally interview would be held in February, if your child is being selected, which means vacancy available, the students mix focus on the contribution for balancing of cultures, races, genders and ages in the class.

Same as ESF, few different play areas free for kids to go, during the interview experienced teacher observes the child's ability of communication, motor skill development. No alphabets, no counting, no elephants from the circus! Teacher will talk to the parents about the kids.

Parents interview will be arranged few days later, the aims of the interview is to make sure parents are proficient in English to support their kids future learning and are sharing same ideas to the school.
I believe 2014 enrollment should be over subscribe, there is a long wait list now, not sure will they change the flow or not!

Because I saw on the school website stating: "Parents of students are invited" instead of "Parents and students are invited" , so I am not sure if I can take my daughter with me on that day, if not I will have to arrange for babysitting. 你囡囡是報nursery嗎? 樓下的會員的reply都好詳細, 不過咁細個小朋友, 我建議你不要過份train佢, 等佢做回自己表現反而會好d㗎, 我怕小朋友感受到壓力會緊張表現得唔好, 我同個囡去interview, 我冇話佢知係interview㗎, 我話同佢去間"Big School" 度玩咋!
或者你可以喺家長interview準備啦, 當日是校長同我傾計, 佢係跟住我份application form問問題㗎! 咁你可以喺呢方面發揮囉, 表現俾佢睇你覺得學校真的是好適合自己小朋友, 間學校對你來講是最好的冇人能取代, 俾佢地覺得你好有誠意就得啦! 你知啦, 好多香港家長都鍾意hold住幾個offers, 在學校角度就唔鍾意呢類家長囉! 感覺上佢地好鍾意幫d[走頭無路]嘅家長和小朋友(i.e.我), 因為我老公第一次去見已講到本地學校好唔適合囡囡, 而我去interview都重點提及我個囡適應唔到主流學校, 佢地由第一次見面就已經話會盡力幫我地!

Actually I applied this year in Feb/Mar, when we first enquired about vacancy, the school told us they were full, but my husband insisted for a school tour. After that meeting, the school told us to go ahead with the application, then they arranged for an interview (all in one day), the next day, we were told that my daughter got accepted.
I think they might have hold back a few places for late comers every years?

Not a big problem if you bring your kid, as long as she will not make noise and disturb others, I saw one kid in the meeting.

Because you were not applying nursery and you may contribute in the areas they need. Priority is not first come first in.

Thank you so much. You sharing is very detailed and useful for me. I have visited their school last year and the principal has showed me the tour and she said parent interview would not be needed for me for she had chat with me. So I am only waiting for the interview next year. My baby will start joining the playgroup this summer ( hope I can get the place because application is only allowed on 18/6). Hope this would help her adapt to the environment and so would help her treat the interview just as another play group day. Hope next year we can join you ladies

係呀！我囡囡係報nursery. 嘻嘻我不是虎媽，所以我先喜歡呢間學校，我就係怕因為我地唔會train 佢而蝕底俾其他虎媽。我上年報名前校長帶我去school tour ，然後傾計，佢話我唔需要再做家長面試，只需明年初囡囡面試看她是否適合開始讀書，希望校長真係鐘意我啦因為我唔知嗰個係面試，完全冇準備！希望我囡囡今個夏天成功報到playgroup增加機會！我只報咗兩間IS 因為我真係希望佢可以入到一間我覺得適合嘅！我之前都做咗好多功課，最後先決定呢兩間

你可打電話問問校巴公司先，大圍，沙田都有，馬鞍山最方便。西貢亦多學生，元朗也有，當然大埔亦有多條線。

玩開他們的playgroup ，基本上都可入幼稚園的。面試內容真的幫不了你們，我小朋友面試時冇出過聲，什麼也不回應，但因他哥哥在這裡讀小學，細佬妹一定收。

我都只是報了大埔3間, 因為同區方便, HLYIS真係我的首選, 不過我都好怕唔收㗎, 特別係另外2間1話冇位另1話reject, 不過我自己初時假設3間都收的話, 我的排位會是1) HLY 2) JIS 3) NIS, 每間都有自己的fans, 我只可以講HLY同我地夾d, 而我亦感覺HLY的收生準則不是要收聰明的學生及tiger mum的子女, 所以好啱我, 因為我非常hea (雖然我以前讀主流學校, 不過我讀書時都好hea的), 我只想做協助女兒學習及成長的角色, 而不想勉強大家而影響關係, 我囡只讀了一年本地幼稚園, 我已覺得力不從心, 好似最近阿囡寫字隔錯行, 交了給老師, 點知老師成版擦晒佢要佢寫過! 我話你要有原則咪在功課上寫[隔式錯, 請注意]囉, 做乜擦走全部? 佢地都知我囡寫字比其他小朋友差, 要佢完成份功課佢需要比其他小朋友多幾倍時間, 因為咁小事就罰佢重寫! 佢K2咋! 咁佢原本已不喜歡寫, 咁罰佢咪會更討厭! 除咗本功課睇落去靚d之外, 我唔知有乜作用, 所以我真係唔走唔得, 繼續讀local的話我一定會同學校有數不完的衝突!

我從來冇諗過勢利同身家問題呀! 我自己都唔係有錢人,
咁當然唔可以話好窮,
只係夠俾佢讀呢間學校囉.

我都唔係住康樂園㗎!
我就覺得一樣米養百樣人,
勢利的人周圍都會有,
唔係多有錢人嘅地方就多d囉,
勢利無品的人是不分貴賤的 ....

其實學校收生都冇問人有幾多收入啦,
所以如果學校都不是睇錢收生,
即是學校都不勢利,
通常物以類聚,
都會吸引到同類的家長與學生㗎!

我覺得某啲港島同九龍塘出名嗰啲仲勢利，我同校長傾計就唔太覺，反而覺得佢地重視係一個community. 家長要投入，純屬感覺，唔知啱唔啱，我報到九月playgroup 啦！好期待，不過競爭真係激烈，我老公六點去到，已經有十個人排

恭喜! 今天我老公去了Induction Meeting,
佢話有各類衣著嘅人,
當然我地唔可以睇人著乜就標籤人,
只係想講其實學校冇話特別偏向收某類人的,
應該係乜人都有,
同其他地方一樣....

當然某d地方真的會多d勢利的人,
學你講,
某d名校就一定比一般學校多d,
不過HLY我覺得不是甚麼有名的學校,
成績也不特別出眾(中學太新也很難講)
費用也不夠市區的學校貴,
應該冇乜人係因為想show off入來讀.

中學我真係冇諗得咁長遠, 仲有咁多年, 到時變成點大家都唔知, 好似我n年前在HK讀書, n年後我發現local school的banding都好唔同啦!
我個人就會覺得有中學直升叫做有個保障先, 到時如果覺得not up to standard咪試吓轉其他, 不過我又覺得應該唔會差得去邊, 其實因為地點問題好多人唔會選去果度讀, 或許流失好多叻的學生, 不過我又唔覺師資果d會有乜大問題!

May I know how many classes in K1? I am so worried about the admission because the number of students in playgroup is definitely more than 24. Then there are siblings of the kids who has already been studying in the school. My kid was born in Dec  and she is the youngest in the playgroup. Others are obviously much bigger and better developed. So she will be very much disadvantaged

Thanks a lot! I just found out no school bus for Half Day N class!  so most likely will move to HLY

no，只是比你參觀及問吓問題，不過你可趁呢個機會建立良好第一印象。我去其他學校的school visit，是admin的人接待，但康樂園是校長或副校長（最少我地係）親自接待，所以當天的第一印象都頗重要。
