Nope, went thru K1, Y1 and Y7 interviews, only one interview.

There were second interviews before, mostly for applicants who have siblings at the school. Most of the cases were the applicants' performance were not too satisfactory so the schools gave them a second chance.

There is no second interview for year 1 applicants this year, even for siblings, at least it is the case for SJS.

AggieBB, are you sure you have a second interview? Which school?

Is your kid from an ESF kinder? If so, talked to your school they should know (be informed) your kid's performance/happened on that date. Ask them what the skills your kids are lacking and what should be improved.

AggieBB, is your child born in the later months (Oct-Dec baby)? When we had our parent briefing (at Glenealy) in early Feb, we were told they may offer a second interview in May to some of the younger applicants if their interview performance is not up to standard because of immaturity. But personally so far, I have not heard of any such cases this year (for Glenealy).

Are you able to find out how the interview went from your son? I'll be applying to qbs next year too for my son and he's born in oct (to make things worse, he has speech delay) so I'm pretty worried too....

AggieBB, call the school office to find out the details. I heard very often the interviewers would speak to the parents highlighting the issues of the kids when offering a second interview in May. My son was born in Dec and he got straight into QBS last year at the Y1 interview. So better find out what'd happened and get fully prepared for the second interview. It's gd that the school was willing to offer this opportunity to your kid than rejecting or putting the kid on the waiting list.

My colleague's girl (Canadian/Hong Kong mixed) got a second interview chance at BHS this year. She is now with ESF Tsing Yi (only for 2 terms) and the kindie principal called him on the same day he received the letter from BHS about this, told him not to freak out when getting the letter, and that his girl was a bit shy at the first interview.
