Which class you are applying? Anfield is a good school for those targeting IS. Mine is oct 2011 bb and the school said they may not take us in the first batch

佢大約1.5歲開始叔Anfield, PG老師之前有一個非常常好, 叫 Robert! 但退休了, 不過又來了一個極有耐性愛心的導師, 所以會給一路返下去, 直至返幼稚園! 不過就真的不清楚幼稚園的老師好不好,所以想問問!

I went to their open day and talked to the kinder teachers. I found them very nice and approachable. They were all very consistent in their teaching approach. If you want to take the IS route, it's a great one to start with.

I applied in Sep11, but my boy is current playgroup student. Looks like they are taking in existing students first. It's mentioned in the offer letter that there will be another round of offer being sent out in Jan13.

The $13,400 is not really a debenture. It will be deducted from the school fee.

I just called Anfield today. They send they are still processing the applications. And offer letters will keep sending out for the whole december.

If there is no space in pre-k they will put you on k1 wait list....

I will be joining their pg in jan. hope there will be a bigger chance to get into k1 if can't get into pre-k

我都有打去學校問過，佢地話仲收緊人，暫時未知最後階段過結果，但係又話先到先得.......所以好似有d混亂，我無報其他學校，諗住早1年報名應該有機會，因為我個囡好鬼怕羞，面試實喊爆，如果唔收pre-k，k1又話waiting，我怕佢無書讀

Looks like they are sending out the offers batch by batch. Perhaps I was in the first batch. We have to confirm by 4Dec and they will then send out offers on remaining spots.

Actually I just paid the $13k deposit today as deadline is next Tue!!! Most likely we'll stick with this choice as it's a large sum of money. Anyone else has enrolled to Pre-K? Pls let me know.

Anfield international kindergarten is very good school. My daughter is K1 full day class in Kowloon Tong camp.

返了Anfield 3 個月左右，佢好開心，成日掛著老師，係屋企做完練習也會話要比老師看！
學挍每月有field trip, 比好多自由空間小朋友！不會太商業化！用英式教育，教長好有愛心，日日也會到每班房與小朋友會見，傾下日常！每天早上在playground 上briefing ! Well ! 但學費貴一點！但小班教學！一分價錢一分貨！接受！

I asked them during open day that there would be teachers from the primary school going to the kindergartens to observe the applicants. Successful ones will then have individual interviews.

I did ask each class size when I went to their open day, but can't remember exactly now. Actually each class is around 15 to 25 students depending on the size of the classrooms. See below for a summary for the number of classes:

First Step: 1 PM
Pre-K: 1 PM
K1: 2 AM, 1 PM, 1 full-day
K2: 2 AM, 1 PM, 1 full-day
K3: 1PM

I'm not sure on this, didn't ask. As we have made our decision to take IS route, Anfield is the best we have for now as there are not many through-schools that offer 2-yr old class. Besides, so far we are happy with this school.

九龍塘校係唔係大部分小朋友都唔會讀k3而直接上p1或y1，因我睇教育局d資料見到k3小朋友得番幾個。

I don't know where the kids would go after K2, but there is really just one K3 class at the moment and the existing one has only fewer than 10 students (from what I observed on open day).

If you are taking the IS route, K3 = to Reception class in Primary school. so most of the student will have been in the Primary school already.

My deadline for paying deposit is Mon 3 Dec, so hopefully you will hear from them this week.

Actually they only have 20+ spots for Pre-K and I think there can't be fewer than 20+ applications so far. If they are still accepting application at this stage, perhaps they will carry on until all spots are registered.

I called anfield today. They said if am afraid there will be no spot in pre-k i can send an email to the admin and request for first step programme as a second choice.

If my girl study at TT for nursery then still don't get the first priority for k1 (coz not existing student). So we hope for First Step for last hope.

People told me it is very easy to get a spot in pre-k if apply early but it seems not gum gei

Very regret that I didn't apply Anfield pg over TT

I used to join hung him toddler robbics, the teacher is nice. But the school environment is a bit small compared to Kowloon tong, I could smell very strong 消毒藥水味at there.
In Kln tong, I join playgroup till now, teachers are nice. Actually, it's all depends on which location is convenient to u

I think more and more people now target for IS. I don't know if it's easy to get into Pre-K before, but from what I observed on open day, the existing Pre-K class was not full. Not sure if people dropped out after school started or not many applied in the first place.

If you target for international primary/secondary school, I think Anfield is a good start. You can always apply to other IS later as not many offer 2-year old class. If IS is not your target, you'll need to consider its Chinese level and the curriculum if they are adequate for local primary admission.

This is also a question we have all the time....what if we get an offer from a famous local kinder like SC. However, when we lay out all the reasons why we would prefer IS, we know we should stick with IS, just that this thought keeps hovering in my mind!!
