May I ask the interview format for AISHK's preperatory class, as being the second year of kindergarten, will there be more emphasis on speech and numeracy,etc? Hope experienced parents could help!

Are u talking Australian Intl School? For me, where is a very good school. My daughter has been studying there since G7, and school discipline is very strict, Any late homework will get emails from teachers and keep you informed. All teachers are very nice and friendly. If u needed any support, home room and class teachers together with school counsellors definitely will assist and provide good guideline to you. Get more info from other parents before making decision. As far as I know nowadays not easy to get a seat there.

Hi 奶醬豬,
我是2011年5月申請2012年的reception,因太遲只放waiting list. 2012的reception無位佢地會自動同妳roll up去下年的preparatory,其實我都未收到信,只知每年6月會有首輪interview,亦可能在6月份才通知.

From my experience, school will ask applicant to submit enrollment update and confidential school report from current KG/school before they will invite you for interview.

For my case 2 years ago, my boy and another classmate were asked to submit these documents but only my boy was invited for interview (apply early, passport holder).

I have just received the invitation for interview this morning by email. I submitted the form for my son in Feb2011, applying for the reception class.

HaydenNg, had your son got an offer 2 years ago? and would you mind to tell how was the interview like? was there any parents session? thank you!

Yes, my daughter was from local school, we submitted the application form started from Primary four. I know it's not easy to get in but luckily she was accepted in G.7.

Hi 奶醬豬,
Sorry for late reply as I was sick and visited doctor yesterday. I received email for interview yesterday. My son is Aus passport holder.
但由於他在傳統幼稚園讀書,加上在家也說廣東話,故我諗他的成數已較低了.因為是Preparatory,故我相信對English proficiency要求更高了.
不知近年有沒有小朋友English as second language也取錄呢?
又大家認為interview應穿得斯文點還是casual smart會較合適呢?

Hi 奶醬豬,我那時是申請2012的Reception class ,failed then rolled over to 2013 Preparatory. 相信Reception class還未發信interview吧,其實妳可打電話到office查詢的(問2013年reception幾時面試）妳小朋友是passport holder 吧?

Hi Regal123,

When you said "我那時是申請2012的Reception class ,failed then rolled over to 2013 Preparatory". Do you mean you have gone through the Reception class interview too? Or you mean you were too late to apply for 2012 Reception class that time?

Last year my application was fail due to late application, no interview was offered.
Are you applying for Reception or Preparatory for 2013 also?

I applied for 2013 Reception year. I only applied one year prior to start year, so i guess the chance to get an interview is also slim...

Reception and Preparatory year 1st round interview were arranged on the same date 2 years ago. Not sure if it is the same for this year.

so disappointed that I called the admissions office today, the lady said my boy has passed the interview but he is not given an offer in the 1st round. My boy is passport holder and I submit the form quite early....we apply for the reception class.

What I can do is just wait......I am so frustrated.
