Is your child on the waiting list? It's very difficult to get a debenture.

不清楚現在的做法，但我十年前的經驗是：面試取錄後，學校讓我們選擇每年交levy或買debenture。買debenture是經學校處理的，到賣出時，學校會收取債券升值賺取利潤的一半作為transfer fee。所以我不明白cdnis的debenture 如何可以在二手市場自由買賣。

there is no secondary market for the debenture, please check with the school

I have one on hand. But it must to be sold via the school. The school offerred price can not cover our cost. We wont be selling it now.

I did call the school and the lady said only parents of existing students can buy. Can't understand and she didn't bother to explain. If already enrolled, why would any one buy if the original purpose is to gain prioirty? emi1y, can you shed some light? Also, what's the cost now? Thanks.

I think CDNIS like GSIS .... you don't get to buy debenture to gain "priority".

CIS you do if you have debenture, you get priority for interview.

Then what happened to those who bought CIS debentures at several million dollars? Redeemed at Par? I called CIS and the lady simply said it was not available any more. Also, i read on its web site that it seems there is a new corporate debenture available with a limited time frame of 10 years. The lady didn't mention at all. I suppose if big MNCs call them they may be able to buy.

Also, I called HKIS and any one can be placed on waitlist to buy the family debenture, which cost only HK$500,000. But the waitlist is 10 years. Nonetheless, I send in the form as it cost nothing.
