I am thinking of sending my girl to KCIS / Victoria primary if she can not get in to ESF/RC next yr ( ESF K1 now, interview next yr ), KCIS / Victoria are not in my top list but in case I need to choose, which one would you consider and why ? Below are my thoughts (sorry and correct me if wrong):

KCIS
cheaper fees, better chinese but worry for me if they share the same campus in secondary as KCS 's reputation is not so good in secondary. Anyone know do they take their breaks / lunch / start / finish school at the same time ? do KCIS secondary students speak Chinese ( not in lessons ) at school ?

Victoria
heard from others their kids are happy in this school, what about academic ? do they have sports ? do secondary students speak Chinese ( not in lessons ) at school ? any good things about this school ?

I would be very much appreciated if anyone could give comments.

KCIS has a v long waiting list starting from kindergarten and with limited spaces  for year 1.  It means that if you have not applied earlier, chances of getting into kcis yr 1 is slimmer than esf primary.

Victoria is a local school and KCIS is an international school . The student mix is different in terms of nationality as they are operated under different school licenses. My boy's school (KCIS kindergarten section) went to a field trip and we shared the same ferry with Victoria primary students . They differ very much from KCIS students

KCIS
- IS students share the same campus with local stream, but they have breaks at different times.

Strictly speaking, Victoria is a private independent school adopting IB.  As for medium of instructions, only English and mandarin are used.  What I heard is however the actual level of attainment of individual students varies, largely depending on their home language.  Curriculum-wise, it's adopting IB.  But I heard it has become more local school like in style as the school is under pressure to press for good results.

As for KCIS, you have to understand it is actually the international section of a local school KCS.  Strictly speaking, therefore, it's not a standalone international school.  Chinese learning is its strength.  As I see it however, the English of individual students , ESP kindy and reception, varies  depending on home language.  As compared with students in other international schools, they may be more disciplined but in terms of exposure and confidence in public speaking and presentation, they may be less strong.

It's equally difficult to join the two schools at P1 level, as in the case of all international schools since both schools have its own kindy section.  So you may have to bear this in mind in planning for your kid's education in the coming years.

KCIS primary and then try other secondary schools six years later including Victoria.  Now Victoria secondary is too young and less information to analyse.

VICTORIA 幼稚園唔擔保一定直上小學, 但KCIS就可以直上, 所以讀KCIS保險D, 亦可以到時候再考維小!

Thank you baby8, debbieip.
As Victoria is not an international school we would not consider it.
