Anyone knows if CAIS charges debenture? My son got the offer letter today. We need to pay a tuition deposit of $12,300 by 19 Jan 2012. But the offer letter did not mention more details about tuition fees. I visited the CAIS web site and know that other than tuition fee, there are also tuition deposit, caution deposit and student consumable dues. What are they? Any CAIS parents can help?

No, my son applied for admission to Grade 2 in 2012/13.

oh, sorry...my typo error. My son applied for admission to Grade 7 in 2012/13. He is offered.

As far as I know, the two deposits are what they are, they are deposits. The consumable dues are expenses like art supplies, other misc expenses that the school incurs for teaching purposes. As of now, the school doesn't require any debenture. But the policy may change in the future as the school will be moving to a new campus in a few years' time.
By the way, how was the admission process for your child? Did you have an interview with the headmaster after the admission test? My daughter will be sitting for the Grade 7 admission test this Thursday. Hope it'll be alright.

I am interested to know
1) when will move to new campus
2) how many classes of Grade 7 now and future?
3) What is pre-request to get to Grade 7

New campus 2015 I think. 2 classes of Grade 7 now. Pre-requisite - pass test, good reports for past 2 years.
