標題: 有沒有人收到esf-九龍塘bhs的waiting list 信? [打印本頁]

小兒今年4歲，報了bhs,上星期收到學校寄來的信說因為人數太多，問我們想不想放入waiting list。

人數真是太多。今早家長日學校老師說有些學生是以下三類人士:
1不是香港人, 不會廣東話
2)有弟兄姊姊在esf讀書
3)擁有有外國passport

他們都沒有interview的機會, 真是很可怕喔

國際幼稚園太多，要讀上去，學位太少，競爭又大，各位家長如果要小朋友入去real international幼稚園的話，都要認真考慮

*香港實在有太多假國際幼稚園!!!

Sorry to hear the news. Which kindergarten you attend?
We are Chinese. I got an interview offer from BHS, my kid was born in France and we(husband & me) are French citizen. He can't speak in Cantonese and studying in ESF Kindergarten now.

我仔都是WAITING.
Nymphlaw,我知有小朋友去年考ESF,是美國出生的,父講英,母講PTH,不懂Cantonses,都係waiting,本來是BHS網的,最後都沒有位,六月由Shatin Junior收了.
另一個是有哥哥在ESF的BHS讀的,要在9月開了學才收到通知插班.
我們三個小朋友都是同一屋苑的.或許BHS真是太多人報了.所以我已打定輸數.其實真係冇可能入到.(我仔在HK出生,又沒有兄姊在入面讀.)

My husband was born in France, so he can't read and write Chinese too.  His parents changed the last name (not Chinese surname anymore) many years ago bcos of political asylum.
As I know, my kid's classmates(ESF) are got the chance of interview from BHS.  But some of the kids have to put on waitlist after interview.
Don't worry!  They've some kids release the place every year.  My nephew (dad is greek, mom is french-chinese) got an offer on Aug last year.

ESF 年年在變, 而家競爭的確好激烈! 但都唔可能同一年有小朋友可以同時in BHS & SJS! ESF foundation只會計小朋友住既catchment分配一間foundation去in!
不過我知上年已經有小朋人係successful waiting BHS, 即係interview成功左, 但都要waiting入學,, 要跟番ESF收生policy!

U may need to wait for more than 2 years for an interview offer from BHS.

It is true that kids go to ESF primary schools according to catchment zone. However, i know kids who went to ESF Kindies and have passed interviews at BHS were put on wait-list. Since BHS is so over subscribed, I know one kid who passed the interview at BHS later got an offer from KJS and now goes there. So, kids from ESF Kindy do get extra help from the kindies, I think. However, that's my personal opinion.

Yes, I know a case of a child who passed the BHS interview but was put on the waiting list. It was not until Sept, he was offered a place in KJS without any further interview. I guess that after you pass an interview, you will be put on the waiting list and if the other school (like KJS) runs out of waiting list student, you will be offered a place there.

So no need to worry too much but I agree, nothing is certain until the start of the school year.

We also waiting for Grade 4 this academic year!

ESF IS MY FIRST CHOOSE from Year 1 waiting to preious year. So,
Nowaday, I'm not egar to change the inter'l school yet.

我見冇offer的朋友,
1) 周圍考其他國際學校, 有小許有位
2) 找local kinder讀K3
3) 如果細仔, 重讀K2 IS Kinder
我覺得3)比較risky.

我仔在think讀k2,如果esf不收,會在think讀K3,然後上G1.
