Just children playing in the classroom. No interview with parents. Very casual.

The result will be out in Nov. For vacancy in Kln Tong, I want to know too. I know those already in playgroup (weekend) have the priority, and heard they are most likely to get the offer.

My son had play visit on sat morning 2, he didnt do very well since hes q shy. I dunno whether its easy 2 get in or not cuz he actually got offer from whampoa 4 PN last yr, so dunno if there would b higher priority 4 him 2.

anfield wp and ktg admission is separate and not related. u got offer last year does not give u priroity for this year entry

The play session is very casual, you don't have to try hard to impress the teachers at all. There was a mainlander family whose little girl was very shy and kept crying and needed comfort from her mum and grandmother the whole time, and the adults had completely no idea what the teachers were saying as they can't speak English themselves, guess what I saw them at the induction day in the end!
This year's PM pre K was new so perhaps that was why I thought it's pretty easy to get in with the extra spots available (we only applied in June this year as we wanted to pull out from the Whampao campus due to the long commute and got accepted right away to start in Sept).

Anyway, Anfield is a small school but I so far have enjoyed the benefits of small classes and how personal the principals get with the parents/students, as well as all the activities they organise. It is a good school!

Hmmm admittedly I'm not sure how my son has learnt enough mandarin from school yet, but then he is only in PreK so still young and he has only started school for less then 2 months. His Cantonese is fine though since people talk to him outside of school except me and his dad + family from dad's side

I actually think PM has worked out perfectly for us as I have to work and there is no way I could get ourselves ready early in the morning! The class is all very small in PM only 2 teachers with 12 kids! The kids settle in very quickly pretty much no one was crying within one week!

I have got Am offer (K1). I applied very early,back in march 2015. I do not attend its pre k or playgroup

We love the school environment, the teachers and all sort of activities the school arranges so far. Have seen only positive changes in my son after attending school for 2 months!
I must say though I'm not happy with the school bus company as they are not cheap at all while the bus company contact person is very disorganised/bad with communication. That is however the operation of the bus company and the school is not responsible for their operations.

I don't think we should let that affect the school's reputation though. It is a very good school that provides a very nurturing environment to their kids at a such tender age. Kids in my son's class stopped crying pretty much within one week of starting school! I saw the teachers taking the crying kids out for a walk to calm them down so having small class size definitely helps give the kids the attention they need and so they settle at school quickly!

Is there any particular reason you want the AM class? PM is not bad the kids will get more attention in many ways?

I think that's because they have given priority to the pre K and first steps kids who want to change to AM, we are in PM pre K now and just got confirmation that we will go to K1 next Sep AM class.

I think Yes and No. Pre-K definitely has the priority but not sure about first steps kids. A mama in this thread did say that her child didn't join any playgroup or class but get AM offer, and one applied for PM but get AM. I spoke to my child's teacher, she said it should be the Admin staff mistake. But not sure if it is the fact.

Yes I tend to believe that's a mistake. My kid didn't attend playgroup so I'm very surprised to receive AM offer. I have given up the offer. Good luck everyone . I guess the sooner you write back the better chance u can move to AM class

You will be asked to attend a parents meeting in around June I think and they will give you an info pack with the bus application form.
Unfortunately they don't have the info on their website

Oh, thanks so much. My husband asked for school bus when attended open day, but he told me no school bus. That's why I am worried and it is difficult to find one because we live in Tai Po.

The closest you can get is Tai Wai, I have called up the school bus contact person as I live in Fotan. It's not affiliated with the school and that's why you won't be able to find anything on the website.

Thank you for your information. I found there is only one school bus company route between Tai Po and Kowloon Tong. I hope there will be a seat for my son; otherwise I have to take a train with my son.

Chanica, seems only 溫太operating the school bus between tai po and Kowloon tong. You may try to contact her. I talked to her last year. However, in view of the school time of Anfield is much earlier than other kindergartens, she was not willing to take my son.

Is this 溫太good? Reasonable price? Does her business drive different school kids in the same bus? Do you know if she goes to Mei Foo?

I have talked to Mrs Wan and she rejected to take my son for the same reason. It means I have to take my son to school by myself. What I sad result(emoji) because I really like Anfield. Now, it is not easy to go to school.

Yes Anfield is a great school kids are very happy there and they involve the parents in the learning process a lot too

We finally got the am offer from Anfield, and we pay the deposit as well.
Still, if Malvern will give offer to my boy, we will take malvern

What is bad about their service ? We live in Meifoo too.. And was planning on taking the school bus .. Can you kindly share your experience
