想問吓Esf的IB 狀元 係咪多數都外面名校插入去？ 有幾多係home grown?

以我所知我哋過年大部份係由小學讀到大嘅親生仔女。反而冇乜本地名校插班拿滿分

其實名校轉過來，都未必個個適應到IB，中學真係好多 project同 present 又要group work, 有啲學生prefer自己操劵背書做習作，可能A level適合啲。

似多數由細已經係讀國際學校。
本身英文好，思維訓練…。佢哋讀IB 科嘅組合，或大學選科亦未必係醫科為本。

It tells you which ESF primary/kindergarten they were at. Also there are photos of them in their ESF primary/kindergarten uniform.

Thanks!!!! So curious about it coz i'm thinking about switching my sons to IS in the future....
5 out of 14 without "previous esfs". Are they new intake in year 7?
Any ideas about the base? like how many new intake in total vs how many from junior schools? thx thx

Renaissance College's annual report is pretty detailed. Shows you how many students/new students/withdrawals/waitlist. Others are a bit harder to work out the exact numbers.

I think they just didnt mention about which esf primary school they come from, you can tell most are from esf primary by their childhood pic. So far those ib full scorer from esf i know are all 親生仔

其實ESF 學校的表現差唔多，一直以來較標青可能係Shatin College; 由ESF 直上的，有學生讀得好做狀元、也有讀得唔理想轉走。從來數據作用不大，一路成長，只需要睇清楚自己孩子的特質而去選擇和努力就是。
我孩子的那一屆，RC 有六位full scorers, 全部由小學Y1升上去。

同意其實都不用太在意exact figure, 總之見到大部份狀元都係自細讀ESF的，打破了「自細在IS的學術根基不紥實」的迷思，另外都有幾個是外來插班生，可見適合IB的同學轉過來也可以讀得很好, 相信他們本身語言能力也高，其間有不揀IB的自然有其他選擇如BTEC或出國A level.
當然有些人又會說他們都是靠補習吧，但我相信只靠補習係做唔到IB狀元的。
