My son got admissions to both schools. Anyone can share some ideas and insights on which one should we choose? He is in Primary Year 2. Thanks!

Half day is a good thing. The best education systems usually has about 20 school hours per week. Kids should play (unstructured, uninterrupted) for at least 2 hours a day, then there's always after school activities (both in school and outside) that your child can join. Congratulations again for having such options.

其實GSIS和其他國際學校學習模式有什麼分別？我記得website 提及自己同英國grammar school 一樣。現在有IB和A level .first cohort ib 39 (不是我最関心的）畢業生到Uk多，之後美加。我地defer 左assessment 到Year 1.想再了解多d.

GSIS 首先是精英制，跟ESF All-inclusive 的取向是相反的，所以入得GSIS的孩子通常本身已經很聰明。他們做的是拔尖，把聰明的孩子再推上一層。

我明白，他是眾多IS中academic 最好之一。在學習過程是活動相向嗎？我很想了解他們的教學模式。

相比IB 較為disciplined, 以澳洲的算法，它是一所grammar school.

Thanks a lot for all the nice reply and discussions. I just sent our answers to both schools and would like to give an update here as well. In the end, we chose Kellett.

In addition to asking advice at this forum, I also asked my friends, and friends' friends who have experience in either schools. No argue that both schools are very good. But I found that people with local background prefers GSIS, while expats love Kellett. In terms of education styles, Kellett is more nurturing, and GSIS is more competitive. Parents who have kids in both schools (luckily I found 3 of them) or kids transferred between both schools agreed that their kids are happy in both schools. By comparison, they think kids at GSIS are more independent, while the quality of English study is more advanced in Kellett (maybe because there are more expats kids in the school). Since we don't fill in much English at home and plan to send my son to the US for high school/college, English makes a good point for our case.

I heard both school lose a lot of students in secondary, so there's still chance if we decide to move him later.

Actually both are good schools and you can't be wrong whichever you choose

都未必，因為kellet真系limit左local 的%。想入也未必有offer.

其實對於沒有英國passport 的local family, Kellet真係難入過GSIS, GSIS我識幾個ESF, HLYIS的都考了入去，Kellet我聽是in都冇得in

Kellett year 2 樓下是不用 interview的，year 3 樓上確實難考，如果你小朋友一出世就報名，排四年後入 Reception 機會非常之大。

Kellett 中文教簡體，一星期三堂，每堂45分鐘，程度很淺，選得呢間就著重英文為主
