Esf no longer has government subsidy in 2016 school year and tuition will be around 10k per month. If I want my child to learn fluent mandarin and can read and write Chinese like native in the future, can Esf deliver that? I know they have Advanced stream Chinese .
Let's say if we get the y1 offer of Esf, can a defer one year and get a chance to apply for y2 next year in 2017?

The short answer is no.

The longer answer is parents who have such an objective do not rely on ESF alone, they would typically send their children to extra tuition after school.

I think ISF might be more suitable for you. Really don't put too high hope in the Chinese level of Esf. Some can do well but most will not.

Yeah I agree that the Chinese level will be compromised at ESF. The main reason why I initially applied for ESF is that I don't like the traditional school that has too much homework and copying and memorizing which would limit the children's creativity. However going to an international school is quite balanced overall, but the cons are limited Chinese and discipline level not as good as local school.

If you have any suggestions which school might able to achieve "balanced, creativity , dicipline and Chinese " then please feel free to share. Thanks

I only can think of CIS, ISF and SIS is somewhere near to a local school level in Chinese.
