Usually, it is easier to apply for Grade 9 as some of middle school students would study overseas after graduation (Grade 8). There were about 10 to 15 students opted to study overseas but that was the situation about 10 years ago.

My two kids joined the school respectively at Grade 7 in 2012 and Grade 8 in 2007. At that time, there were about 6 spots in each Grade.

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking there would be more students leaving for boarding schools in the U.S. after grade 8. 6 or 7 spots are fewer than what I thought.
Hope to hear from more parents.
