有！不過under 15歳你一定要陪他去，因為他不可自行搭飛機。duke 的creative writing camp 非常推介。我女14俾曬$買埋機票，原來系不可以自己飛。好彩學校airline也肯refund.明年才去吧

If it's a direct flight from Hk to the destination, UM is applied. If it is not a direct flight, say you need an inbound Tsf, um is not applicable.

如果妳小朋友就讀國際學校, 又希望他/她將來去美國留學, 我個人建議去美國修讀暑期班, 美國優秀大學除了參考小朋友AP或IB成績外, 也會參考有否參加優質的暑期課程, 當然, 還要加上其他因素, 例如, 獎項、社會服務、或父母是校友、或兄弟姊姊現時該大學的學生等。

My kid attended a writing course of CTY at Stanford and she loves it. They had a parent meeting at the end of the course to discuss the kid's performance as well as a group presentation. The course is selective and therefore like minds gather.

Administration was excellent and the staff replied quickly whenever I reached them. The only downside is that student visa is required which is a bit troublesome.

我自己意見只是對Johns Hopkins CTY 的 Study of Exceptional Talent 有興趣, 事實上, 美國有很多學校提供的暑期課程比Johns Hopkins CTY好, 有少部份課程是免費, 如妳子女是美國公民還可以有更多優質 + 免費課程可以選擇, 以上我提供的Writing Summer Programs 是全美最top的寫作課程。

請問CTY 的 Study of Exceptional Talent programme 要SAT 有700分以上。是否只需要考數學或者是英文critical reading 其中一科便可以了？另外SAT 的試是CTY 在港也有舉行的？

要報考Johns Hopkins CTY的Study of Exceptional Talent, 不能報考Johns Hopkins 指定SCAT考試:

Thanks Simonlawht2 ！另外想請問如SAT 數學成績考得不好但英文考到700分以上也會被錄取？英文只是考reading 不用考writing ? 如不足13歲、考試表格不是向CTY 索取嗎？因為考試好像要在CTY 註冊然後選擇考試纇別，如SAT ,ACT....

是的, 但數學分數也不要太低。

2.  英文只是考reading 不用考writing ?

三年前我的小朋友要考writing, 但SAT轉了考試模式後, 我不曉得要否考Writing, 請跟Johns Hopkins 工作人員聯絡。 (我知道現時12年級學生在新制SAT可以選擇不用考Writing, 但我堅持要小朋友在未來時間要考, 在美國很多大學仍要看Writing成績。)

其實小朋友是英文比較專長並不是數學。請問你小朋友有否考到SET?700分上是數學加英文合起來𨗴是單一科目要有700分上。如單一科目便差不多要拿满分。

如數學不是資優是不是不建議報SET? 他除了英文科外還有biology 比較專長。但他最喜歡的都是英文科其實現在是想報讀暑期課程是對他升讀美國好的boarding school 或大學有幫助。

如你兒子在其他方面是資優也強烈建議報SET, 如他能考上, 他可按照他的專長參加不同的研討會, 不一定只有數理比較強才報SET。

如果你想幼兒參加summer camp, 其實在香港的ESF、YMCA也有. 如真要去美加上summer camp, 其實那邊好多教堂、社區都有辦summer camp, 好便宜的。

你好！你提供的寫作課程非常有用。我女兒在國際學校Grade8，自小對閲讀寫作都有濃厚興趣，也有讀CTY的math course。請問你所說的SET,自己報考SAT之前要做什麼考試準備呢？你的意見昰以上的writing summer course都比CTY的summer course好，對嗎？

我只能說這些都是非常好的私立學校, 至於暑期課程又是另一回事, 只要父母經濟能力許可便可以讓小孩報讀。

他是否初中生? 如是者, 建議報讀以下頂尖暑期課程:

A) Davidson THINK Summer Institute

其實一直想幫個仔找summer program, 之前都是集中看CTY, 因他一直有報讀online course. 他今年year 8, 對maths, programming, engineering有興趣。
