好書介紹: a Mind for Numbers-How to excel at Math and science.

Interleaving-Doing a Mixture of Different Kinds of Problems-Versus Overlearning

Emphasize Interleaving instead of overlearning & Avoid mimicking solutions-Practice changing mental gears.

3. Illusion of competence: Overlearning

4. Pomorodo technique: Highly focus 25mins then break for 5mins, continue for 25min then break 5min….

Ten Rules of Good Studying:

1.Use of recall
2.Test yourself
3.Chunk your problems
4.Space your repetition
5.Alternate different problem-solving techniques during your practice
6.Take breaks
7.Use explanatory questioning and simple analogies-think about explaining complicated concepts to a 10years old child by using simple analogies.
8.Focus-turn off interrupting phones and computer, focus intently for 25mins (pomorodo technique)
9.Eat your frogs first: Do the hardest thing earliest in the day, when you are fresh.
10.Make a mental contrast.
