- The average predicted grade is ~36, final 38+. The PG of DBS quite reasonable, so my boy will have ....... Great!!!

Examination Results
IB Results 2012
Many congratulations to the Class of 2012 on their superb examination results. The average score was 39.1 points (ten points above the world average). 7 students achieved the maximum 45 points, with another 17 securing 44 points.
Mike Bolton, the Acting Head, said, "We are once again delighted by our students' performance which is a real credit to their hard work and commitment. Students and their teachers can feel very proud of what they have achieved."
7 students gained the maximum 45 points for the IB Diploma
17 students gained 44 points
107 students gained diplomas with 40 or more points
The average points score per student was 39.1
That's the standard for DBS....

- CSS's first-ever IB Diploma examination results:
Out of 58 students who undertook the IB Diploma examinations,
1 student (1.7 %) scored 45 points, the maximum score possible
5 students (8.6 %) scored 40 points or above
18 students (31%) scored 35 points or above
41 students (71%) scored 30 points or above
The average score of all IB Diploma students this summer was 29.8; the CSS average score was 32.
The cohort achieved 36 “7”s, 7 being the highest possible score for an IB Diploma subject.
The maximum score of 45 points was achieved by only 109 students across the globe this summer.

The school year never really ends until the Examination Results are published and last night many nervous IB students went on-line to discover how well they had done in their May examinations. For the vast majority of our 142 IB candidates, the outcomes have been brilliant! The full results analysis will be published, according to ESF Policy, on our website on Monday but this has been a spectacularly successful year for South Island students with 32% of the cohort securing 40+ points and 3 students gaining the maximum 45 points and a further 5, gaining 44 points. This really is an exceptional achievement and we are all delighted for our students and their families. Nearly 80% have made their first offer University choices and many more have secured insurance places. Our HE Counselors are working over the weekend to help those in need of help in this area. As I always say to Staff, a good or a bad set of examination results doesn't make this a good or a bad school but when the good years come, it is an added bonus - and this is an exceptional year. Congratulations to all concerned.
