2。畢業之後36個月取得Chartered CFA - 超額完成。
3。12個月內考完FRM及取得專業資格 - 合理完成。
4。24個月新人到副經理 - 合理期望。
5。48個月由新人到經理 - 超額完成。

- Their standards can be their personal attributes and the training in HKUST, personal attributes I can't comment. I always think HKUST Business School overrated by parents and students at undergraduate level.

但HKUST QF上年收生較 GBus更高。

The best QFin program in HK is CUHK > HKUST > HKU
Many students have a wrong impression that QFin more go to iBank, eventually not the case. I reminded parents many times in EK, most of them don't believe it.
J is a good youngster and knows what he is doing and where he wants to go. Start at low level with plenty opportunities provided by the company is good for him in long run, instead of high pay initially and kicked out after two years.

I heard that employers may prefer UST graduates which have adapted to a demanding and hardworking environment.
Anyway, high academic achievements but poor performance staff is not uncommon nowadays. Many personality attributes cannot be taught in schools. They are inborn and influenced by family and peers.
You nurtured him well and he can face greater challenges by himself.

In secondary education, we worked on personality and exposure more than academically only.
In his team, most colleagues come from accounting and BBA, QFin is unusual and highly regards in is department.
If QFin graduates from UST can be perfect fit for Big 4, but the starting salary is much lower than the graduate master in secondary school, also the working hours in Big 4 is much longer than school.

- I guess it is not only the QF degree or the awarding university is important. HR dept will identify other factors such as personality or communication issues in recruitment. Weakness in these aspects may be fatal.

- Yup, sound academic background not equivalent to high performance, that's why Big Corp and MNC like to use aptitude test to screen fresh graduates from different universities and different programmes, then group and individual interviews.
