大竹輝明，今年32歲，但由於患有自閉症的關係，心智年齡大概只有十歲左右。他住在家裡，父親已經過世，家裡同住的有母親、哥哥、妹妹，還有兄嫂及外甥。輝明的母親希望他可以盡量過自己的生活，故此一直為他找工作，不過世俗大部分人對於自閉症的患者都抱歧視的目光，厭棄和他相處，所以輝明每一份工都無法維持很久，都是因為被責罵而辭工。
