Do you know if a student can apply to stay in USA and find a job there after studying for so many years?

May I ask those who interested to send your kid aboard. Will you go with them or let them go to boarding school?

Just wonder if we declared as non-residence Canadian, do we need to pay foreign student fee for our kids if parents stay in HK.

I guess for non-residents (Canadian) our children still can enjoy local school fee because they're already Canadian citizen.

好近 Unionville High school, 本來都想入union high,
但因地址關係, 隔左條 kennedy, 而且去學校睇過,
比較少唐人, 加上亞女只讀gd 11 &12, 佢明年入u,
所以呢間都ok, 因為係citizen, 所以no school fee,
佢前排响教會做義工, 最近搵咗份parttime,
充實下d時間喎, 唔駛成日上網, 等佢見識下都好
受下氣, 人會成熟d

正諗緊幾時比孩子返去讀書。

好高興見到咁多人係Toronto返嚟, 我都成十年無返過去, 都幾掛住果度, 畢竟留學既生活真係好難忘, 有苦有樂.

我都打算grade 10/11比個囡返去讀書, 不過仲有好耐時間.

I like Unionville very much too.  I still go back to visit my relatives once in a few years.  My daughters enjoy playing summer camps there very much.

Really?  I am also going back next summer.  We have tried those in Markham Community Centre a few years ago(they have a lot for different ages - indoor and outdoor, around CAD100 per week).

I think it is Unionville (near Main Street).

I will search for info the the community centre.

It's rather hard... but student can stay one year after grad to work... but they must leave after that one year.. unless they can find an employer who sponsor them a work visa.... ( which is highly unlikely, except their profession is really rare)... In that case, if you're lucky enough to find an employer who sponsor you a work visa... after 3 yrs with the same employer, if they are willing to.. they can sponsor you a " green card"

BUT..... most employers won't go that route becuase
1. it cost $$ to sponsor working visa or green card.
2. why hire someone so " Ma fan" ... there're many more eligible ( people who can legally work in the States) candidates.
3. Not all jobs are eligible for sponsorship.... must be  professionals with yrs of experience.... New grads are almost hopeless.

Like I said, if your profession is rather common.... I think the hope is almost zero.. but if you have a PHD is Math or Astro science... or Master in physics... and the NASA really loves you... perhaps you'll have a chance.

Anyway, my point is... going to US is great ... your degree is more 值錢.. but don't hope for a easy green card ( especially after 911)

Sorry, may not sound nice...but  I know... I've lived in the States for over 17 yrs and worked  in HR field.
