Anyone buy the World Family's English education device??Is it good and useful? Any comments?

I have it.  In my opinion, it all depends on whether the parents have time and spend effort to teach, if you are a hard-working mum who spend lots of time teaching and playing with your baby, you may NOT need such a big and expensive educational set, there are lots of cheaper and good enough books and educational sets serve the same purpose.

Besides DWE, I shopped lots of other books and sets, and based on my experience, my baby learned from other books/sets in the same way.  E.g. I taught my baby to count from 1-10 in English when she was only 15 months.  Now, she learns over 50 English words and understands what I tell her to do and follow (all in English), and for the past 16 months, I actually did not spend much time in using DWE.

DWE only teaches English, but actually, there are many other things we could teach at the same time we teach babies languages, e.g. social skill, how to be a happy baby, how to be confident, etc.  If you have time, I'd highly recommend you to bring your baby to the public library, there is usually a kid section in the libraries with many baby books, and your baby could observe how other elder kids read and enjoy reading.  Babies learn from observation and following!!

I talk to her in English, but when I talk to other family members, I use Cantonese and Mandarin.

ic, can she understand both Cantonese and English?  Will other family members talk to her in Cantonese or Mandarin?  Sorry to ask you so deep, I just want to know more for reference.  

My daughter can understand lot of words (In Cantonese), I am thinking shall one of us (husband or me) teach her English mainly so that she won't confuse; or spend 1 hour daily to speak English only.  But, my English is not so fluent so I also wonder shall I talk to her in English

我用左差不多5年, 大仔7歲, 細仔2歲, 學枚miss都讚佢英文好,但有幾好我唔識講, 因為係整體能力。 但我最滿意係我2個仔都鐘意睇書, 唔怕陌生人, 最重要唔沉迷電視d卡通片.專注力幾好, 我諗套老鼠教材都有功勞ge!!
但真實你用咩教材咩方法都好,父母先最重要,因好多能力都建立係親子關係上。

Anyone can tell me how to use the main programe and the schedule? i.e. Basic ABC.  My sales just told me you can play anytime and no scheduel, it depend on your baby.

I think he is not a experienced sales.

Anyone can help.

hi, we have used DWE + wide eye over 3.5 yrs, my elder son is 4.5 yrs old and younger son is 2.1 yrs old.

i found that they can catch up eng very fast under using these materials, they knew A-Z and 1-10 when they were 1.5 years old,

my suggestion is: make use of those 4 posters, stick them on the wall where your child can easily touch them, by and by she can recognize many words as well,

and when she watches dvd, u can also give her the related book to read together, later on she may likes reading as well,

any more sharing?
