Both are good school.
Seems boys studies in DBSPD are happier.

Other than the fact that both are 'elite' schools, anglican in origin and put heavy emphasis in music, they are pretty different. As far as I know-

Co-ed is a chinese based primary, and put very heavy emphasis on chinese culture. As a result, its children tend to be well behaved, down to earth and more 'academic'.  As the school premises are fairly small and facilities are limited at present, they are not particularly strong in the sports field, other than perhaps swimming as it has its own indoor pool. The latter may change once it moves to its new premise.

DBSPD is an english based primary, and majority of the subjects are being taught in english. It puts heavy emphasis on ECAs, and as a result, I believe its students tend to be more 'out going', 'sociable' and appear to be more 'confident' & street smart.  It has excellent facilities so the school places very heavy emphasis on sports as well.

I don't know much about their secondary schools, but judging from friends who are graduates of either school, I think my above comments are probably  correct even for secondary school.   

No doubt both are good schools. At the end of the day, it is really a personal choice and depends on your proximity to school, what type of student your child is and/or what type of student you will like him/her to be, and most importantly, which school does your child prefere?  I think that's very important. Since it is he who will be spending the next 10 + years there (although as parent, you will no doubt has to run with him along the way), and as it's his choice, he cannot blame you if he turns out not liking the school!!

Actually, I like DBSPD rather than St Paul Coed, but when I know DBSPD F.1要去寄宿, I think I will not choose DBSPD.

樓主話佢有兩子一女，咁咪 St Paul Co-ed 囉。

不過，如果樓主唔係住港島，而St Paul Co-ed 又收左你仔仔，我建議你搬去港島，方便d小朋友(假設你第時三個都讀晒個間)。

1) Where do you live? You won't send your son to SPCC if you live in Mongkok, am I right?

2) SPCC and DBSPD are different. If your child is quiet, academic-inclined and disciplined, why not send him to SPCC? If he is very sporty, out-going and even arrogant,  then DBSPD! You really can't tell which school is better than the other; you need to consider a more important factor - your son.

Anyway, I gave up DBSPD and sent my son to SPCC last year. I can't say my son is a timid/shy boy, but definitely he is no kind of "maverick" type of kid. I think he will enjoy the coming 12 years in SPCC. Remember, it's 12 years!  Think carefully, not every boy can be a "star" student; I prefer a school with better AVERAGE academic result.

St. Paul is a covenant school while DBSPD is a boy school. So I prefer St. Paul Co-ed.
