The real pain point of SJC and many other boys' schools are obviously their Chinese results.
However, the negative impact of bad Chinese results can now be mitigated by the flexible admission requirements and the acceptance of M1 / M2 as a full subject for admission score calculation.
In fact, most of the popular programs only require a 3 for Chinese, except for Law which requires a 4.
My son's classmate got a 3 for Chinese but a 5** for M1. He was admitted to a local medical school as Chinese was replaced by M1 for best 6 calculation.
If you take 3 electives plus M1/2, very likely you don't need to include Chinese in your best 5 / 6 calculation. |
