K1 $500k 睇terms 話完成kindergarten 可以refund
但又話如果升佢小學會convert to INR， $500k 變400k, 退100k, 咁呢400k 完成小學又有冇得退？？好金喎😂

• If the student accepts the place at an ESF Kindergarten, once they complete K2, they will be offered a place at one of our ESF primary schools or colleges if they can access mainstream education. At this stage, the debenture will be converted into an Individual Nomination Right (INR). If the child transfers to Discovery College or Renaissance College, the Debenture holder will receive a HK$100,000 refund as the cost of an INR for these two colleges is HK$400,000. Students will then complete their time with us by guaranteeing a place through to secondary school. If the student is suggested for placement within the learning support provision or Jockey Club Sarah Roe School and is processed through the Admissions and Review Process (ARP) for placement, the debenture will be refunded if there is no available Year 1 learning support place. The debenture will convert into an INR if there is a learning support place offered. There is no guarantee of the parent's preferred choice for primary school as there is an INR quota for each primary school.

Foundation school 全數沒收
RC/DC 退10萬
Year 1 accept offer後無得退，完成小學之後冇得退，就算即刻放棄offer唔讀都無得退款。

咁如果入k1 唔買debenture 入到，之後升小學同有INR 同學比較，是否有選校優先？

其實入到ESF kindergarten, 點都會保送上任何ESF 小學？只係有D ESF 小學熱門難入D？可唔可以咁理解

正考慮買唔買debenture 😂😂😂😂

有debenture 有優先，可參考Year 1 application priority

ESF K priority is the highest anyway and ESF K are guaranteed a place in primary. I guess what matters in that case is you have the priority among the ESF K to choose your preferred primary - it would help if your preferred ones are SJS, KJS or BHS.

入到ESF K1就一定有ESF Y1位，分別在邊間小學啫。但買左50萬債都唔代表一定揀到最心儀小學，要留意返。

Theoretically speaking, yes it will help. However the foundation schools maybe keen to keep the 70:30 FP ratio. Last year there had been cases of k1 debenture holders not being allocated to 1st priority school when transitioning to Y1

Yes foreign passport is definitely helpful for the foundation schools. But also for INR there is a quota for each school, so it maybe the case for the very popular primaries too many INR holders picked it so some end up losing out

For the 70% FP issue, taking KJS as example, 150 places among which 105 must hold FP (70%) as required by the policy. Theoratically, once they have got 105 ESF K with FP, they must take the rest of the ESF K according to priority, with or without FP. Given the current ESF K ratio with FP and the oversubscription of KJS, it should be easy for ESF to get 105 FP from their own K. So theoratically, I don't see any legitimate reason there are places remained for outsiders.

For oversubscribed school, there will be hardly any space for outsiders - my kid’s classmates are either from WKS or TY.

Theoretically, all K1 places from SJS and KJS should be taken up by ESF K students. Since the offers to K students are given out before Xmas and ESF also does not allow/want K students to stay on a waiting list for KJS/SJS, all K students have either accepted or declined their offers before the outsider round.
If K students allocated to KJS/SJS decline their offers or withdraw from school, those vacancies may then be allocated to non-K FP or non-K siblings.
