讀完香港G12(中六)去UK讀多一年G12, 得嗎?

本身而家中三, 成績都係麻麻, KEEP住年年補習果科中文和MATH都唔多合格, 佢唔抗拒去外國讀, 仲話幾時過都得(佢真係講得口響, 好似唔洗$咁), 但我唔放心佢自己一個女仔咁細個過去, 起碼我想睇到佢識得自主學習, 搵到讀書方法先, 而家SO FAR未見到, 仲係下下要我督住, 自己控制唔到看手機時間............我而家打算佢在香港完成成個中學生涯, 先至比佢過去英國讀一年FINAL YEAR的中學, 順便比佢享受一下人地的BOARDING SCHOOL生活, 之後先至升當地的大學, 其實我對佢無咩要求, 求其攞到個BACHOLAR我都心滿意足, 但其實我又唔知UK的制度比唔比人地咁樣樣?

你知唔知英國入學有限年齡㗎？唔係你話邊年去就邊年，唔係entry point 係唔收嘅，另外，越高年班越難入，位少，競爭大。同埋數學唔合格好難考得入year 12 , 除非A level 唔take Math 啦。

什麼是FINAL YEAR ？
Year 13 ? Foundation ?

英國中學的確有限制年齡入學 ， 但係咪超齡一定唔收呢 ？ 咁又未必 ， 睇你讀咩學校囉， 每間學校制度不一 。
但照你安排 ， 當地係無得在中學Final year 入學 ， 要安排過去讀 Sixth form ,  當地 中六 、中七  考A level 升大學 。
一係考完DSE 過去讀Foundation 再升大學 。

Year 13係A level考試年，絕對唔會收生。所以要過去，只有入Year 12。如果要享受寄宿生活，咁唔會揀一年制嘅foundation 啦。所以你嘅選擇就係讀完中四送佢入寄宿year 12，咁而家要準備喇。

如果讀完中四再去讀year 12, 咁人地已經揀哂科，咁我點㗎？如果一直順利上到大學，咁其實我都仲係international student, 學费貴過local student? 我自己未去過留學，我乜都唔識，其實要準備D乜？sorry，我會努力再爬下文

A level係一個兩年嘅課程（Y12-Y13），所以大家係一齊揀科一齊開始喎？英國學生Y11會先考GCSE（Y10-Y11）嘅兩年課程，所以唔存在人哋先揀晒科呢樣嘢。

至於International student，只要你唔係BC或者一早BNO5+1（即係Y7/8嗰啲時間過去），你無可避免一定係international student喎，一定係俾international學費喎。同你Y12或者Y13去都冇關係...

如果要year 12 入學，一般早一年左右考入學試，申請時學校會問定你A Levels 時打算讀邊幾科，然後會針對嗰幾科來考，出offer 時亦會寫明個offer 係俾你讀嗰幾科。

唔洗考慮local，孩子已中3，點讀都係international學費。

英國有D  foundation course, DSE後讀一年可以銜接大學。

另外一選擇，可以早一年Y12（即F5)轉A level的IS, 避咗中數把時間集中在自己擅長的三科，IS唔會下下篤住你，比較尊重小朋友。反正中數不合格DSE都唔樂觀，沒有成功感唔會有心機讀。
可以考慮KIS, KCIS 都有A level門檻不太高，到時出國讀大學都好多choice.

你有這打算時 ，不坊去搵下學校申請 ， 而經濟能力又負擔得起 ， 不用諗太多 ，試了再算 ， 或者選定 5-6間學校 ， 除看成績外， 當地學校都要考入學試 ， 孩子想出國讀書 ， 他們就會發揮小宇宙 ， 機會你比咗， 但爭取卻靠自己。

差不多完成中三也不算細, 雖然係我也唔捨得, 如果只打算享受一年boarding school 生活, 仲要係final year (如果得）, 其實意義不大, 開學到考公開試得咁少時間, 又要準備考試, 倒不如大學才去。我見有香港私校offer IAL, 又唔一定要IS

今年9月入讀Y10應該趕唔切啦，其實可以讀完中四（而家開始申請）或中五（明年開始申請）先過去讀Y12，讀書既野好難講，A Level勝在只選3-4科自己強或喜歡既科目，隨時放手後自己開始發力。不過呢2年英國學費加左好多。

加多兩科，Bio, Drama, IT, media 等
三科就得
也先參考下大學收生需要
樓上講得啱，萬一冇IS收，私校都有得讀，坐言起行。

咁就要留意大學count 呢啲科目邊d 係soft subject, 如果揀曬3 科都係soft subjects 就等於搵自己笨。選時要小心，亦要看大學列出來的科目屬於邊個category.

係呀，尤其樓主冇考過IGCSE, 所以我叫樓主先check咗大學想讀科目收生條件先。
其實另外一個出路，有些IS/英國私校提供BTEC, 比D冇咁academic 的學生升大學，樓主可以研究下。
