"A-level students are graded almost entirely on their final exams, which tend to be content-heavy.
In the IBDP, the final exams account for about 70 per cent to 80 per cent of the total marks for each subject, while assignments assessed by teachers and checked by external examiners contribute the rest of the final grade."

兩個學制及考試目標明顯不同，各有優缺點。我當年問自己一個最簡單的問題，我想孩子二十年三十年後，那個學制對他影響及幫助最大。

IB制度比較起A levels 會更達到全人教育理念。

A L一直都不是强调全人发展。

IB 強調 all-rounded。如果孩子數理科特別強，而語文科和人民科弱的話，讀 IB 可能比較 「蝕底」。女兒有些同學在 G8, G9 時就轉了去讀 AP。

我個人見解lB的all rounded 係宏觀看法，如果微觀，特別在應付IBDP教試及課程。在語文可以選擇literature, literature and languages, 母語，外語，HL，SL，係可以選擇合適程度給自己。文科也是可以選擇H L及SL，可以有彈性處理。

個人認為對大部分人來說，IAL會比 IB易應付些少。因為相對唔使煩太多野(IA, EE, TOK,...... 。)

AL強在數理科的深入和廣闊程度。

但AL 在學科上的深度，好容易就會比追趕上，尤其入咗大學之後，AL 的優勢會慢慢消失。

但IB教育對學生的全人培育（個人性格發展、時間管理、資料蒐集及分析能力、表達技巧、語文能力等）則會維持。
