ESF BHS reserved list

My son attended beacon hill Y2 interview last month and just received an email saying that his interview was successful but the school has reached its immediate enrolment capacity and they are unable to offer him a place at this time due to enrollment capacity. My child will remain active on the reserve list until six months from now and after which he may be required to be re-interviewed.
Can anyone share your experience please? Is the chance getting an offer within 6 months slim? The school office refused to answer me about his position in the list. We don’t have siblings priority but we do have a foreign passport. Thanks in advance.

Don’t worry, there’s a very high chance that your son will get in within 6 months, otherwise they would not have interviewed him and put him on the reserved list.

ESF only interviews prospective students if they have immediate vacancies or they expect vacancies very soon. They would not create more work for themselves and interview students twice for nothing!

I have been an ESF parent for nearly 13 years, have heard so many cases similarly and all those kids got in very quickly, my 2 cents!

yes, exactly.

i heard many similar cases, all are admitted to esf school within six months, including my child.

my case is I am on the reserve list of K1 in Hillside and they said there are 130 candidates on the list, do you know if that mean the chance is very low? shall we still need to interview again if they provide the offer? their message is like this:

We are pleased to inform you that your child was successful at the play visit and assessment. Unfortunately, our kindergarten has reached its immediate enrolment capacity and we are unable to offer your child a place at this moment. ...... Your child will be placed on our “Reserve List”. The establishment of the Reserve List means that we will be able to provide a timely offer of a place if and when one does become available.

Did ur child applied K1 or K2 that time? need to interview again?

K1 is mass intake and your child has not got the offer but is put on the reserve list of 130.

If your child has not got any priority, the chance can be slim, as not many students would withdraw immediately once they get in.

i applied ESF Yr 4, the school didnt arrange interview but just told us we are currently sitting in the top range of Clearwater Bay School's Year 4 waitlist....is it mean we dont have any chance?

排頭位同埋reserved list都真係幾快，上年12月問到係頭位，3月一renew咗application 即收插班interview invitation，3月尾入reserved list, 4月尾有offer.
*只作參考，不代表所有ESF schools的情況*

High chance, someone must be leaving in summer, they only call interviews when they expect a spot is  coming up, sometimes at the last minute.

May I know about the interview content? My daughter is called for assessment. They said student will be assessed for reading & writing skill? Can you share some details of the assessment please l?

Sorry my son was not called for BHS assessment. It’s for another ESF school.
