the score requirement for citizen is higher than International student. if u want to get into law, i rmb it requires 42/43 for USyd, econ and commerce related need 36-38

有諗過，阿仔兩歲時已經apply 咗澳洲boarding school，諗住讀中學佢就自己返澳洲讀boarding.

但阿仔唔肯，由Y6一直拖到Y10, 都唔肯返去考entrance exam 。佢想留在港讀完中學正返去讀大學，我迫都迫佢唔到（他自小在港讀IS）。

最後發覺他的選擇是正確的，尤其疫情關係，否則就錯失了許多共處的時光。

從來唔覺IB 比HSC 難或易，只係合唔合適問題。IB 俾咗阿仔更多的自由空間去試及體驗，搵到佢自己適合的路。相對我自己，太多的空間會令我無所適從，HSC 較適合我自己。

出咗正式result 才申請，不用predicted grade.

IB 通常7月頭放榜，大把時間報大學。大學二、三月開學。

我理解上係咁睇。

I find this in UNSW website regarding if public exam have been cancelled, whether predicted grade will be accepted:

Yes, we do – but only for A Levels or the IB Diploma results. The total predicted aggregate must be two points higher than the total final aggregate required for admission.

Results must be printed on official school letterhead and include the institution stamp and signature of the Principal, Registrar or Academic Director. Results should be dated after 1 January for entry in Term 3 (September intake), and after 1 June for Term 1 (February intake).

As other people said already, you must at the requirement for "domestic" student, if your kid holding Aus passport or PR visa. The difference of admission requirement requirement is BIG. For international students paying international fee, doing IB in HK with reasonable result can almost get in most of the course in Aus. But for 澳洲公民回流 or holding PR visa，要申請澳洲聯邦政府資助位。They are real difficult for some hot subject like Medicine, Physio, Dentistry.

You go to each university website to read its individual requirement. Said BDS degree at Queensland U,

They put down like
Entry requirements
Prerequisites

Year 12 or equivalent English and Chemistry (Biological Sciences also recommended). Domestic applicants must sit UMAT; international applicants must sit ISAT. The minimum entry requirement is rank 99/OP1, however not all applicants who meet this minimum requirement are offered a place. Entry is competitive and test cut-offs are used for sub-selection purposes. UMAT and ISAT cut-offs will vary each year depending upon the standard of applicants.

They usually put something like "rank 99/OP1", then you cross check what IB score (or DSE score) that make up to that Ranking.
