My eldest was from SPCS (primary section) to secondary section (she move to UK to study). She will enter University incoming Summer. At our time, SPCS is much cheaper at our time as school fee-wise. If school fee is not a deciding factor then ... try to look into their syllabus structure.
After studying at SPCS for so many years, I believe this is a very good school. Especially less homework (similar to DGJS). My younger girl is in DGJS to DGS. I can be very honest with you. SMC - my girls didn't study there so I don't really know. However, friends' daughters study there... they said homework will be more than SPCS.
I know both SPCS and DGS are very good schools. They do literature in secondary. I also know not many schools does literature English in secondary. That's why their English standard is limited. YOu must look into their secondary syllabus too! IGCSE is a plus. If you are planning to go overseas at the end, SPCS will be the success factor. If you plan to do DSE, then you may consider SMC as their chinese may be better.
Chinese at secondary - only two subjects - Chinese history & Chinese subject. I think the rest of the subjects like phy, chem, bio, geography, etc... may be all in English. Just think carefully.
I have come across SMC top students who came to DGJS as insert students. However, they can never get any subject awards in DGJS. On the other hand, students from SPK or SPCS to DGJS... are always the top students in DGJS or DGS. This proves that SPCS has good picks on their students. It also explains why DGS or DGJS likes to offer to their students for many years. I guess is the training they have implemented for their students and making their students can be so flexible and smart.
That is my observation for many years. Hope that I comment can give you some helps.
