今日睇吓Cambridge website，應該是真的改了制度，是好消息呀！ 再找不到從前那些斬釘截鐵的 “ … would not be accepted.”，只說要英國大學出信，證明轉校/ 轉科原因，也沒有特別提及國際學生的有關安排。https://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/applying/entrance-requirements/students-at-other-uk-universities

The Cambridge Colleges will not normally consider applications to Cambridge from students enrolled on degree courses at other UK universities unless there are exceptional circumstances or there is a change of subject (in which case a letter of support from the student's current institution is required). If in doubt, applicants should contact individual Colleges for further guidance.

Any application to study at Cambridge would need strong support from your course director or other academic tutor at your current university. A reference/letter of recommendation from that person to the Cambridge College would be required before a Cambridge College could consider an application, and such applications would still be subject to the same academic assessment as any other application to the University.

Please contact a College admissions office for advice.

IAL 就係international A-Level
我知有直資有開AL 課程，我兒係自修IAL，理科practical 嘅卷以paper lab 代替

我2019年去過英國旅遊，順道帶仔去參觀兩所大學，跟學生行local tour，佢地都話一日起碼有6個鐘係self reading睇書睇資料，所以如果搞唔掂嘅，都好難應付到oxibridge 嘅要求

我仔本身有讀開科大DP，已讀Maths prestage, Chem 1 + 2, Phy 1
我地先搵導師跟數 (Maths + Further Maths) 因為疫情關係，網課，慳咗唔少時間，用咗6個月左右就ready 考，但因為5月考期取消咗，所以10月考咗12張數卷，當時已經復課，無請假，只係撞時間就early leave (一般考1點左右，或4點左右，一日兩個時段，但唔會同科考兩張卷)

同一年暑期前開始phy..

而Chem，係疫情中remote 上堂，老師將所有topic 教一次，但仔唔鍾意remote，所以9-10月亦轉咗老師，面授
Chem 1,2, 3 係一月考嘅，之後想報5月考餘下科目，但又取消咗，所以結果剛過去10月考埋餘下9張卷

仔每科都做到起碼10份past paper，初期tutor 會幫佢改，之後自己對marking scheme (網上有free download)

制度上，係可以重考，然後自行網上揀返邊個成績去做一個grade，但有說頂尖大學會對重考嘅成績有所保留
我兒數學有一張卷因為8號風球，edexcel 估咗個分，而*唔到，我地雖然收哂4科成績，亦過到仔想報嘅科目相關要求，但都決定報考多次該unit

另外，我地亦有揾人幫手跟一跟IELTS speaking 同writing...

同時，學校功課係有欠交嘅，但亦唔算多，因為相關老師都知佢考緊試 ，所以考試期間亦無俾太大壓力
不過，我相信高中同初中嘅聽話程度、workload 等都有分別，如果孩子鍾意讀書嘅，分配好時間，應該問題不大，但最好要1年內考完喎...

好的校內成績，personal essay 和入學試，能令學生得到oxbridge的面試機會。Cambridge會選大約80%的人面試，而Oxford會選少於40%的人面試。
通常每人要進行最少2至3場的大約30分鐘面試。面試是最難和最大變數的地方，好睇學生的即埸的應變能力和平時的底子。
另外如果通過左面試，Cambridge 的CO一般都會要求較高，今年識人Cambridge 要求IB42分。Oxford 的CO多數要求IB 38，39分。

Yes. 如果係理科，Cambridge 一般要求IB 41-43, a level  A*A* A (指定科目），但多數學生都係3A* 或4A*入。

好嘅學校成績係一定要，personal statement 亦要認真自己寫。阿仔係老師指導下睇佐好多書，寫佐後再經老師指點下不斷修改。入學考試有past paper可以做，大約會知自己能否通過。阿仔本來想報Maths, 試吓做入學試past paper，過到但唔係好高分。而佢Six Form 讀佐Econ之後發現自己好有興趣，做past paper亦高分，就報咗Oxford E&M, 最終佢係入學試考到top5%, 面試亦冇遇到非常留難嘅問題，順利取得offer

其實係唔係只是 Cambridge 的 science 科要考入學試，e.g. 要考 NSAA,
而 Oxford 就唔洗，只要你interview ok 就可以呢？

唔係，唔同科考唔同嘅paper。Oxford 係考筆試先，過到先有interview

因為考慮報 Oxford biochemistry ，好似唔洗考任何試，但報 Cambridge 就要考NSAA….

What are tutors looking for?

As biochemistry is not taught as an A-level subject, tutors will not expect you to have a detailed knowledge of the subject. However, if you are shortlisted for interview, tutors will be looking for an informed interest in the subject (originating from news items, books, magazine articles etc) together with an ability to use information (from other school or college subjects, particularly Chemistry) to analyse and solve problems and to construct your own opinions.
