請問EE 和TOK是否都是圍繞同一個題目來準備？

不是的，EE是六個subjects中選一個題目去做。

TOK每年會有指定題目，在當中挑一題作答。今年的不久前剛出題目：

The May 2022 TOK Essay Prescribed Titles

1. Can there be knowledge that is independent of culture? Discuss with reference to mathematics and one other area of knowledge.

2. To what extent do you agree with the claim that “there’s a world of difference between truth and facts” (Maya Angelou)? Answer with reference to two areas of knowledge.

3. Is there solid justification for regarding knowledge in the natural sciences more highly than knowledge in another area of knowledge? Discuss with reference to the natural sciences and one other area of knowledge.

4. How do historians and human scientists give knowledge meaning through the telling of stories? Discuss with reference to history and the human sciences.

5. How can we distinguish between good and bad interpretations? Discuss with reference to the arts and one other area of knowledge.

6. If we conclude that there is some knowledge we should not pursue on ethical grounds, how can we determine the boundaries of acceptable investigation within an area of knowledge? Discuss with reference to two areas of knowledge.

似乎公認ib對個人成長是強和相對有用的。

想問下功利既升學方面，在香港讀ib，相較其他會有優勢嗎?

想入牛劍，優勢次序如下︰
英國本地A LEVEL -->其他國家A LEVEL-->英國本地IB-->外國IB—＞DSE

同意嗎?

如果成績中上，想以視藝為進修目標，應該選IBDP還是IBCP呢？

最好問老師，原則上讀DP日後會較多大學選擇，通常要求要取得 diploma, 聽過有arts school 較着重 portfolio,  選CP 可花多些時間在 portfolio

想入牛劍，英國的私立學校及有名的Grammar Schools會佔盡優勢。

至於HK 的IB 定DSE, 我覺得可問問SPCC的家長究竟同一屆學生哪個stream的入牛劍率更高？答案可能是差不多。

我表妹大約8年前喺香港 IB 畢業, 44分入牛津法律系。佢同學45分入唔到。

基本上考大學嘅遊戲玩法，不是看誰考試高分誰就可以入牛劍。

首先要看DP讀什麼科目，是否match心儀學系及學校的要求。

考牛劍，PG要達一定分數，然後才有機會進行不同筆試及面試，過晒呢兩關，才再睇最後公開試是否meet conditional offer.

所以一個在報牛劍中段已被rejected的學生，就算他最後考獲45分也不可能入牛劍囉。

個人意見 ib 係好的教育制度，TOK 近似哲學，反思學習多年，是如何取得知識，我參加過多次學校為家長提供的 workshop, 簡單嚟講: 好彩唔係我讀。好多孩子選擇EE的題目都令我驚訝，自己十七八歲肯定唔識。

但ib考試制度並非適合每一個學生，要求大量寫作，兩個語文，又文科又理科

希望呢個帖不會嚇親有孩子仲讀緊PYP及MYP的家長；其實孩子慢慢在學校成長，他們對功課的要求比我們更容易掌握和適應。
而我會苦口婆心勸大家，不要輕易把孩子交給/外判給補習老師，若孩子在學業上有問題，應先向老師求助。

Do you happen to know the difference between IBDP vs IBCP?  Is full mark + bonus point of IBCP equivalent to 45 too?  Or IBCP fall into different grading system?  Will student receive diploma if he or she is taking IBCP instead of IBDP? Are there universities accept IBCP student to continue study?  Is studying IBCP is inferior than IBDP?
Sorry if this question sounds silly but I don't have much clue and would like to hear more from you.  Thank you so much.

“The CP takes a specialized approach, within an IB educational framework and philosophy, that can be customized to suit students’ needs, personal interests and strengths. The CP framework allows students to specialise in a career-related pathway that is suited to their enthusiasms and ability. CP 同DP 始終是兩條不同的pathways, 不用比較誰比誰強，反而應問自己子女適合哪一條路。

課外活動有足夠種類便夠,不須計分,學生要做一份報告給校內老師,不用拿獎。
