Does not specify the RT-PCR test. It seems one can take one of the tests, including LAMP. Better confirm with the airline.
The boarding requirement from the UK effective 7 May in English and in Chinese is different:
English version
a. Have not stayed in the relevant specified places for more than two hours during the relevant period;
b. Present a negative result proof of a nucleic acid test for COVID-19 conducted within 72 hours before the scheduled time of departure of the aircraft (see Notes below); and
c. Present confirmation in English or Chinese of room reservation in a designated quarantine hotel in Hong Kong for not less than 21 nights starting on the day of the arrival of the relevant traveller in Hong Kong.
Chinese:
Thanks a lot Poonseelai. It’s good if lamp test is accepted. It’s more convenient.
The wording on the government web, the details on doing the test for December 2020 and now is the same. And yes, I shall also check with the airline.
Fingers crossed the students will be back safe and all is smooth!
