點解唔諗香港IS讀Y11到聖誕節，唔考IGCSE，直接過澳洲讀Y11 & 12考公開考試入大學(澳洲無Y13, Y12考公開考試入大學）。

咁樣會早半年入大學。如果考埋IGCSE 就會遲半年。

澳洲中學一月尾二月頭開學。

都擔心Oz未必比人直接入yr 11,聽有啲係澳嘅媽媽話有啲學校可以要外地生讀番yr 10先。諗住如有IGCSE公開試成績，會唔會有咩方便！暫未決定幾時過oz, 考慮由LS轉去IS

用IGCSE成绩考入foundation->大學，無疑係一條捷徑，近乎两年IS學費。

私校有機會要求讀遲一年。我親戚申請兩所私立中學， 一間要她讀Yr 10, 另一間可以讓她讀 Yr 11。

嚴格計，係開學前幾日（一月尾）先啱啱足12歲，11歲就完成小學放暑假了。

If your child has a clear idea of which subjects/programs she/he likes, i would suggest after IGCE, go directly to the foundation program provided by the uni she likes.
Reasons:
- save cost
- except IB, the AU local syllabus is quite different from that in HK and IGCE, need extra time to catch up
- in some states, the result of some Yr 10 subjects is needed to submit to the govt
- some uni will give priority to the students enrolled in their foundation program.

如果考DSE, foundation 收生有什麽準則？要另外考其他國際試嗎？
Save cost就其實同讀两年IS差不多，不過save time。
之前見有人話foundation多讀書成绩麻麻，但比錢讀都有機會入心儀大學同科目，唔知係咪真。

Starting ages for “Prep Year” by States and Territories:

In Tasmania your child must be 5 years old by 1 January in the year in which they start school.

In Victoria and the ACT, your child must be 5 years old by 30 April in the year in which they start school.

In South Australia your child must be 5 years old by 1 May in the year in which they start school.

In Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia, your child must be 5 years old by 30 June in the year in which they start school.

In New South Wales your child must be 5 years old by 31 July in the year in which they start school.

我囡囡今年讀foundation, 其實只要你完成第11班和校內成績違標就可以，我諗大約55分以上，只要讀一年，達標就會升到大學。如校內成績只有50分以上就要讀1.5年foundation. 我囡囡就係要讀1.5年果隻，已經開左學2個月，成績唔錯，都讀得幾開心
